I go regularly for the full service gas, and I’ve had my oil changes and inspections done here for the last couple of years. I am always impressed by how friendly every person at East Franklin is!!

Highly recommend! I unfortunately hit some sort of small animal while driving on the highway which caused a brake and rotor issue but I didn’t have a trusted mechanic here yet as I’d recently moved to the Durham/CH area. I work in CH and a coworker recommended them and they did not disappoint! They showed exemplary service from the moment I called the day before to when I picked up my car. Everyone I spoke to, especially Cassie, was genuinely very helpful, personable and knowledgeable. They were able to fix my car same day (I did drop it off at 7:40 am bc of FCFS) and for a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely be using them from now on. Thank you for the great service!

Fantastic & honest mechanics that don’t try to oversell you. I’ve been taking my old car here for years & they help with what can be done keeping in mind my budget. They’re so helpful with explaining the problems and troubleshooting what may or may not be necessary.
Highly recommend this mechanic to have as your go-to spot

I took my car in today to change my brake pads and rotors and I had a very positive experience. My car feels like brand new all for so much less than PepBoys down the street were charging. They are very professional and the lady in front is very friendly and hardworking, she manages the store and the garage so well, Thank you!

East Franklin is FAR AND AWAY the best place to get work done on your car in Chapel Hill. I honestly think it is one of the consistently best customer service experiences of any store/retail place in Chapel Hill.
I changed to them after consistent bad experiences at PEP boys and just difficulty finding a place. We have 3 cars and every single time I have brought a car in over the past two years it is respectful, fair, and a pleasure. Honestly, I think they need to charge MORE because I'm not sure how they make it work at these rates and I want them to stay around forever.
One difference is you don't really make appointments. Just show up early in am, drop car off, and get it at end of day. I have never had it not work perfectly but there is a little trade off in that if you come at 2pm, there aren't appointments, so not sure if they can get to it same day. In the am it's perfect.
I also have no idea how Cassie at the front desk remembers every single person's name every time they come in, but she has a gift for that, and again it just is part of the overall great customer service there.

I've been looking for an honest, affordable mechanic since I moved to Chapel Hill. I have tried many and have felt ripped off by several.
I recently went to East Franklin Car Care because a coworker recommended them.
I had a state inspection, brakes and an oil change.
My car runs better than it has in years and the price was very fair.
My search is over and I am very happy.

Took my car here to get brakes fixed after Chapel Hill Tire quoted me $1400 and said I needed new rotors as well, East Franklin told me that my front brakes were fine and I only needed to fix my back brakes. Saved me well over $1000, honest workers amazing people. Will only be going here from now on.

Excellent tire repair at almost half the cost of a local chain and it was fixed within 20 minutes while I waited with no previous appointment! Great customer service from owner Cassie and team. Highly recommend this servcice station.

I came to East Franklin Car Care with a water leak on floor in the driver’s side of my car. I asked them to try to unclog where water drains out of the AC because I thought that might be the problem. (I don’t know anything about cars, just read it on YouTube.) They told me once they were done that one side drained fine but they’d have to take some big pieces of my car apart to make the other side drain, and it would cost more and take a while, and they couldn’t guarantee that would fix it. The two staff members I spoke to both looked super guilty while explaining, and in the end that’s why I decided to go with someone else. They charged me $10 less than they quoted since they didn’t fix the problem. When I left I saw the sunroof cover had been moved, and there was water on the edge of my sunroof. I NEVER open my sunroof or move the cover. Later I had someone different fix my car who’s been making these repairs for 30 years and his work has a warranty. It took him 15 minutes to fix it and he showed me my sunroof wasn’t draining correctly because a part near the gas and brake pedals was loose. He said it was a common problem with my make and model of car. He replaced the part and poured water on my sunroof to show me how it was now draining right. I can’t prove it and I’m not positive, but it definitely seems like the people at East Franklin Car Care knew what the problem was and were trying to get more money out of me. I definitely won’t be going to them again.

Took my car here for an oil change/tire check for the first time yesterday and the service was incredible. I hate walking into any car shop as a woman, but the woman working the front desk was so sweet! I told them the battery in my car key was dead and they replaced that for me without me even asking. I've been taking my car to the Mercedes dealer for any services needed and it's almost triple the price. I will definitely be taking my car to East Franklin from now on!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had a hard time at first finding this place. I needed to replace my alternator, water pump, and thermostat for my Toyota Suv.I checked with most of the other repair shops from Cary, Hillsboro, and this one in Chapel Hill offered me the best price (I saved more than four digits compared to other shops) in exchange for being patient.I took their offer and got my vehicle back before Thanksgiving!It took them two weeks but I understood that this is a new repair shop with limited staff and time. Other than that, they did what I asked.Thanks much again, and you guys definitely beaten the prices and did a very good job fixing my Suv! I couldn't be any happier!I highly recommend this shop if you have the time to wait!
