Mitchell and his team are the best! Their customer service is more than just a friendly welcome when you walk in the door. Neha, Joe, and the whole team, are so knowledgeable, I feel like I have a partner in my banking experience.

I’ve been a 5/3 customer for years, but came in to close my accounts for various life changes. I had a pleasant experience with Alea—she was so friendly & made the whole experience a good one!While I was in the branch, another customer rudely interrupted Alea & me while we were talking, and continued to glare and make loud/rude comments. Alea was very professional during the whole encounter, and even sent me a nice note afterwards to apologize for my experience related to the woman’s behavior & to congratulate me on my recent marriage and upcoming move!Taylor was working with the rude customer while I was there, and she was kind & professional throughout that encounter as well!

This spot is kinda hidden due to recent traffic patterns and construction. The staff was friendly and made this pretty simple once I found out location. It was clean and nice inside also. I'll be waiting for my to go coffee the next time I stop in !

We have been a customer with Fifth Third bank for over 10 years. We took a home mortgage loan with the Cary, NC branch in 2010 that is closed now. As we live in Chapel Hill, we contacted the new local Fifth third branch in February this year for a new mortgage. The preauthorization was done without fuss. We have now been trying to contact the persons involved with helping us take this further (house may close soon). Despite emails, messages left on cell phone and complaint with the bank office via phone, we have yet to hear from them for the past month. We are disappointed and have approached other lenders. Will likely close our accounts with Fifth third soon.

This is a two part review about this branch and 5/3 as a whole.I give this branch 5 stars simply because they seem to know you by name each time you come in and are always super friendly and I enjoy my time coming in. If you do join the family this is a branch I recommend.Personally for me, the bank itself isn’t a good fit for me. Nothing against this branch itself but from limited hours (which may be due to Covid) when I neee a representative (they are closed Sunday), to clunky mobile app and features not working as they should to the fact that I’ve had to contact customer service about two issues multiple toners times after being told it was handled I’d rank the bank itself 2.5 stars. I wish my overall experience was just as good as with the Branch. I’ve since moved most of my primary checking elsewhere and use 5/3 as my leisure account

Went to close an account for various reasons and worked with Alea Henry. She was WONDERFUL, so helpful and pleasant—if we need an account in the future we will sincerely consider Fifth Third just to be able to work with her in the future! Thank you!

On Franklin Street, you'll see food, coffee, galleries, and bars. But what you might have missed is the new face in town : Fifth Third Bank. They might be new to Chapel Hill but they've been around for 160+ years! I needed savings account for my son who is 10. It was going to be where he would deposit his own money. It's been a very long time since I've opened an account up but everything from start to finish was seamless and secure. Mr. Carr went to great length to introduce me to staff as we passed by them (which made me feel more comfortable) instead of just rushing me into some office to take my information. This branch really got to know me as a person and not just as account number. If you want personable and professional give this branch a chance. PARKING: there is shared parking all around the building as you pull in. Handicap accessible to the left of the building and a bike rack in the front. SEATING: I counted 3 designated areas where you can sit comfortably- coffee bar, side area, and front entrance. ATM: inside the first set of double doors to the right is an ATM. During business hours anyone can use them. But banking members can use their card after hours since its locked. HOURS: only closed on Sunday and traditional banking holidays.

The best bank in Chapel Hill! Friendly staff that loves building relationships and serving the community!
