Flyleaf Books is a fabulous independent bookstore in Chapel Hill. It is a cute, friendly, and spacious store that is well laid out and easy to find. The store offers new books, used books, and a kids department. It also has lots of greeting cards, stationery, and many nice gift items. The staff is professional, friendly, attentive, well prepared, and knowledgeable. The bookstore hosts great events like book talks and signings with authors, which can draw standing room only crowds. It also offers special opportunities like a puzzle swap held twice a year. Customers can order online or by phone for in-store pickup or shipping. Free gift wrap is available upon request, and there is a membership program for discounts. The staff is fully vaccinated and boosted, and masks are available though not required. With plenty of parking and copious handwritten reviews on the books, it is a great local bookstore with lots of options.
I love this community based independent vibed book store. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their vocation. I particularly enjoy book signings there and occasional educational entertainment.

A fabulous independent bookstore in Chapel Hill. A book talk lead was by local author Sara Dessen about “Not Like Other Girls”, the debut YA novel by Meredith Adamo. It had a standing room only crowd. The staff was well prepared and knowledgeable. It was great day to be surrounded by books, authors and friends.
