the manager on duty at this store, a white blonde woman, racially profiled the person i was shopping with by stopping him with one item and a receipt in his hand, meanwhile, i, also a white woman, walked by with 10+ items in my bags and was not approached. when she realized she had made a mistake, she did not look my friend in the eyes, and instead handed back the receipt and without apology or regret, motioned for us to leave the store. we did so. my friend was polite and cooperative despite her prejudice. being the only black male in the vicinity, it was painfully obvious as to why she chose to stop him.

The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only disappointment was that the men's room was dirty and that the Paper towel dispenser was broken. There was a roll of paper towels sitting off to the side, but I didn't notice it until I was ready to leave. I have been impressed recently with the variety of items, especially in the alternative section, there at Harris Teeter. We will continue to shop there and give them our business.

I used to go to this store. Not anymore. Dirty carts. Nasty floors. Also have been harassed by people asking for money in the parking lot---be careful. Produce is rotten, and I am not sure the bagged cheese refrigerated area is cold enough ...seems too warm to keep things healthy and fresh. Depending on who is running the self checkout....some are nice and some should NOT be working there with their customer service skills. Please HT Corporate do something about this store! WE HAVE MANY ALTERNATIVES now and I will be using those other alternatives.

Harris teeter is ok. The service is ok and the store is mostly clean. I recently started to pay more attention to my receipt. There have been a couple times that a cashier would ring items up twice by mistake. This has actually happened a few times here and at other chain grocery stores. I would have to go get it fixed at customer service. I think the way Harris teeter has no conveyor belt for the checkout clerk could be painful on their back since they have to bend over repeatedly and get things from the cart. The vibe here is not that great, but I will come here to get a few grocery items every now and then.

I live in NY and never heard of this place. To my surprise I was totally please with the cleanliness and very accommodating staff in the store Chapel Hill on MLK Blvd. The prices were responsible (again I'm from NYC) and the freshness of the deli Dept, the fruits and veggies as well as the meats was outstanding. The check woman was very kind to us out of towners and used her employee discount for us as my daughter filled out the Teeter discount card. She gave us advice on the best days to shop for discounts and my daughter said she will follow her advice. I can't wait to return down to NC to visit because I look forward to returning to this store!!

This place was so gross. The bathroom was an absolute nightmare, there was mold in places there should not have been, and the employees were very unfriendly. The produce manager was very nice. But I wouldn’t consider shopping here ever again.

This is the biggest Harris Teeter in the Chapel Hill area! I think it's officially a Super Teeter. They also have the most readable aisle guides! And a great assortment of everything!

I have shopped at Harris Teeter for decades, drawn in by their pharmacy, which I do like. For the groceries, I often have to wait in line or deal with "unfriendly" check-out machines with even longer lines. The vegetables are expensive, and sometimes at the day's end, just plain rotten. The nearby Food Lion has no wait lines, fresher vegetables, great sales on fresh meats, and cheaper prices overall. I pondered for years the seemingly illogical popularity of this Harris Teeter. The only reason I can think of is that its clientele appears to be mostly upper middle-class whites. In contrast, Food Lion has a more eclectic racial and sociological mix.

The filet mignon...though small...very tender and tasty. Bakery items are very good. Muffins were not over-sweet...just right!

Almost all Harris Teeter locations are very clean and well kept. This location is no different. Staff is helpful and very friendly. Always a pleasant experience

I shop here at least once weekly, it’s super close to my house but I’d stop here even if it wasn’t. This store has really upped their plant based foods game in recent months. Vegan feta, Parmesan, vegenaise, plant milks galore, great tofu selection, some mock meats, plus everything else you would expect to find in a very well stocked grocery store. One of my favorite parts is also how friendly the staff is. They often go out of their way to smile and say hello. Tony who often works in customer service always makes my kiddos laugh. There is another man who wears a Taco Tuesday hat which makes me smile. I enjoy shopping here because of the amazing selection, great prices (their sales are amazing!), and friendly and courteous staff. So glad this is my neighborhood Harris Teeter!!

The produce section, which once was excellent, of late has been terrible. I will now shop elsewhere for produce.

They have the best variety around. Just be aware if you like to shop when they open that you might find the produce area lacking and fresh meat counter closed.
