I use to come here all the time for indoor plants during Covid and this place was my haven. I went back today and wow, I'm not sure what happened? Most of the indoor plants were in poor condition, some of them sitting in trays of water while in soil (a recipe for root rot for things like philodendrons) and the rest looked as though they had gone a long time without water and then were watered and reacted badly (if that makes sense?). I was interested in the massive Silver Sword, a Painted Lady, and maybe an Alocasia but literally none of them looked worth the price they were being asked for. They had leafless Alocasia for the same price as full foliage ones, half dead Jungle Boogies (again, at full price), and Hoya Kerriis potted up in soaking wet soil (and no node, so they will forever be one leaf).I don't usually do negative reviews, which is why I didn't go below 3 stars but I'm super disappointed. I use to could get decent sized plants for a steal here and now it's all gone downhill. ? I have no problem rehabbing plants but I will only buy rehab plants for rehab prices. $20+ for something waterlogged and half dead is...quite the idea.

This is a wonderful place to find native and non-native trees, shrubs, and flowering perennials as well as a diverse collection of colorful annual plants. They also have a multitude of interior plants many of which they propagate on-site. The store itself is a horse lovers haven!

Super friendly people, wide range of garden and horse-related products. Wish they'd stay open until 6 instead of 5.

Nice little local shop. Most of the plants are beautiful. The prices are pretty high as you might expect from a small shop like this. They cover stuff for your garden, horses, chicks, dogs, birds, etc. No one ever greeted me and I was in the store at least 20 minutes plus time outside and no one ever even nodded my way. I’ll give it another try perhaps.

One of my favorite places for plants and garden supplies. I’m a big garden and houseplant hobbyist and frequent a lot of nurseries -small business and big box alike - but the plants I get from Piedmont are among the healthiest, most robust, and disease/pest free plants. I don’t know what they do here but their plants are the best. And the staff is super helpful and accommodating and the store kitties are just a joy. Love this place so much.

Went for a lunch and learn class. Great location with lots of parking! Central to many areas. Huge greenhouse with lots of plant selections.

The customer service is above and beyond. I can't say enough great things about Piedmknt Feed and Garden. If they make a mistake they will go above and beyond to make it right. Even if you aren't upset.

Piedmont has been my go to place for plants for years. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I love how they bring in food trucks and authors. It really is a vital part of the White Cross community!!

This place has gone downhill. It used to be great. We bought our Christmas tree there every year, as well as our spring chicks. This past Christmas, we went to get a tree on dec 02. They had only tiny trees or gigantic ones. We asked if they would be getting any more trees and were told, like we should know, that they had already been selling trees for weeks. So I guess if you didn’t get one in November then you’re way behind. This spring, I was determined to be on their level with spring chicks. I constantly checked their social media and was assured that the chicks I wanted would be available on 02/17. I called them to assure that getting there right at opening on 02/17 would be the thing to do. I was told that yes, the chicks would arrive and would need to be acclimated to food and water, and would then be ready to go, maybe, on 2/17. I purchased a $300+ brooder system in anticipation of the chicks. I then saw on 02/16/2023 that the chicks were already sold out. The store said on Instagram that they were horribly sorry, but I guess the chicks were ready early. Had I known that this was a possibility, I’d have tried to cancel work. But I was assured that Friday morning was the earliest they’d be ready. Now I’m left devastated and chickless. With the Christmas tree debacle to boot. I’m done and I’ll go other places (tractor supply, southern states) since I can’t count on piedmont anymore.
