If you’re looking for any type of good, helpful customer service- find another location. I believe the woman I’ve had the displeasure of interacting with there is named Kim. It’s clear she doesn’t enjoy her job and was incredibly rude and unhelpful both times that I went to this location.

This has been my go-to post office for many years however recently this branch has really gone downhill in terms of customer service. Before 2020 I used to come at least once a week and the two registers were always operational and the attendants were kind and helpful. During Covid they scaled back a bit, understandably, but since then have not expanded back to their prior two-register style of business. There is always only one register which leads to very long lines, and for whatever reason every time I come it is the same lady and she is very foul-tempered. There have been multiple occasions where those of us in line have bonded over how much we dislike her bad attitude. She is rude, short-tempered, snarky, unhelpful, and aloof. Once I tried to send a package and she told me I had the “wrong size box,” and I had to go home, change to a different box, and suddenly the new box was okay and she let me ship it. Excuse me?! It’s this kind of behavior that makes it unpleasant to ship anything here. The hours are also wildly unpredictable. Most days the office closes for 30 minutes to an hour around noon since they only have one person operating the register. Well today it was randomly closed until 3 PM. This makes it hard when the office closes at 4PM or sometimes 4:30. The lack of consistent hours and the fact that the only attendant is incredibly rude makes me not want to visit this branch anymore. Just for clarification I have been shipping things from this spot for over 20 years. Only in the past 4 years or so has it become this bad. Whoever that attendant is, she’s gotta go.

This post office employee is trashy especially the women that work there. She scammed people especially thinking the one that don’t understand English. I paid for two days shipping, but she shipped my package for three days shipping. That was not worth the money and time. She doesn’t look like she likes to work there. She doesn’t seem nice to people. She needs to find an another job if she doesn’t enjoy interacting with people.

Omg try any other post office or just pay for UPS. Unless you want instructions to be barked at you by the attendant…even when you’re the only customer in the room :/. They’re much friendlier at the carrboro branch!

FYI- this location is closed for lunch from 2:00 to 2:45 pm. Counter staff was unpleasant. Terrible attitude. Unfriendly. Obviously didn't like her job or at least working with the public.

It's said open online but when I get to the location at 2:03 pm they have been closed and won't be reopened till 3:00 pm with a random handwriting.

I am a foreigner who is not good at English, and I went to send a parcel to my country. I didn't understand what the staff was saying, so I asked her repeatedly two or three times, and he was really rude to me. she was very irritable, tapped his pen on the table, spoke in a teaching fit, and threw me a copy of the invoice. I felt very bad and embrassed. The other person standing behind me comforted me with, "She was so rude. I'm sorry for what you went through." It must have been seen as a harsh treatment of foreigner. I'm surprised that the official post office worker in the U.S. is like that and it's a very disappointing experience.

they are never open at 9am and there are regularly hand made signs randomly posted espousing temporary closure. unreliable.
