Went to get a refund of two meats the cashier forgot to give us. Had problems because we didn't have the receipt. No one knew what to do when we did have a picture of the receipt. Took one nice manager to actually help us the other was extremely rude. She gave attitude when I mentioned the amount she was giving to the card was not the same as the refund. I just wanted to make sure. She said "I know." with an unnecessary tone . Not even sure why she is a manager if she can't even reply nicely. Definitely don't want to shop at this location even if it's the closest one. Older manager lady is the only professional in this establishment. She apologized for the situation and even offered meat for free. But the other had so much attitude for one refund.. unbelievable.

Just left the store. Even though its very crowded, these employees are working hard! Everyone was pleasant and going the extra mile. Thank you guys for a little sanity during this crazy pandemic.

Four stars only due to the people there being really nice. Having just moved I was looking for a new grocery store in Chapel Hill and this one was fine but not particularly good in any measure (other than people). Produce looked ok but not great, selection was ok but not stellar and prices were average (even the same items didn't seem like big bargains). Plus the store brand baggies I purchased have consistently broken after trying to zip.

This Food Lion has some of the best staff of any Food Lion in Chapel Hill. There have been times when the lights were out in the parking lot and I had requested for one of the managers or workers to walk me to my car. It was beyond their job duties to do so, but they were happy to do it. I like their willingness to always help even if its outside merchandise they have in stock but going as far as to help me combine coupons and save even more money! This is my go to grocery stop. I like how close it is to my neighborhood.

This is my go-to grocery store since moving to Chapel Hill about a year ago. It's located in the Timberlyne Shopping Center, about halfway between my workplace at UNC Chapel Hill and home. Service is great and they always have everything I'm looking for in stock (even when a rare hurricane is on the way).
