I had an appointment for an eye exam for new glasses today at the Northlake location. Everything went perfectly from the start. Receptionist was welcoming, warm & courteous. The lady who performed the pre-test, kind and thorough. The dr was amazing! She was well spoken, clearly knowledgeable in her field and took the time to explain anything I had questions about. So far, a perfect experience right? But, there's one more step-picking frames & ordering glasses. While waiting for my turn I picked out the frames I liked & took a seat & waited to be called. When I took my seat at her desk she asked if I'd be using insurance and I replied I would and told her what I had and she stated they didn't take that insurance. Mind you, the glasses I have now came from the same company (different location) and I used my insurance. Go figure! So with that cleared up, I gave her the frames I chose and she said, "They're so big"!. It kinda took me by surprise because they didn't look huge to me and then I started wondering why shouldn't I have big frames if that's what I liked. I've worn glasses since I was a child & never had a salesperson (not sure of her title) comment about my choice of frames & I didn't think it was her place to suggest what I bought from the store with MY $! She even made an odd look with her face. Now I was really at a loss for words! But we proceeded and I guess she eventually decided she had had enough say-so in MY business! I will continue to use this location because the dr and the rest of the staff made for a wonderful experience, but I will wait any length of time necessary for someone else to help me through the fitting & ordering process and if I'm ever asked why I wait, I will explain this experience to them.

Made an appointment a week in advance. Got a phone call from staff (Naomi) and text same day as appointment. Arrive and no record of ever making appointment. Was told it was cancelled. Staff onsite stated I should try LensCrafters because they were open later. Don’t waste your time. They won’t have a doctor on location anyway.

10/10 experience! I made an appointment and went in, and was very pleased with the short wait times, services, and time staff spent with me! Curtis was very helpful and answered all the questions I had! He assisted me with finding the perfect glasses and getting me all set with contact lenses for the year! Will be visiting again!

Excellent staff overall, Mr.Curtis got me in and out in a heartbeat. Naomi at the front desk was so welcoming and joyful with greeting us and even made me few more confident when trying my new glasses on. 1000/10 years experience will always recommend this location

Curtis went above and beyond to get me seen before my original appointment date when I ran out of contacts. He also worked with me to get the best prices on my glasses and contacts as well as fix my current glasses. The location is clean, easy parking and friendly staff. Great addition to the University area!

I had chosen to go to Americas best because I had been a previous customer back in Florida. This Americas best is honestly the worst. My appointment was at 3:30 pm and they said to arrive 10 min early. I came here at 3:20 pm and now it’s 4:44 pm and I still have not been seen yet by the doctor. I had went to the bathroom not even 10 even and I was called and found out someone took my place when I had said something the tech said you didn’t tell me you were going to the bathroom but don’t worry I still have your chart. It’s been over a freaking hour. Highly dissatisfied and will not be coming back

Best eye exam that I’ve ever had. The girl in the tech room Domencia was very thorough with the exam. The sales associate Sade and the Manager Amanda were very helpful when choosing my frames and guided me to the lenses that I needed. Definitely bringing my family here!

I am not one to write a bad review but this was absolutely a terrible experience. It’s not the first time and I should’ve known. The employees are extremely rude and quite frankly pretty useless. My husbands appointment was at 11:15 and he didn’t get attended until 12:00. They are very strict on their late policy (if your late even one minute more than ten minutes they cancel your appointment and have to reschedule). If you want to reschedule they don’t have appointment until almost two weeks out. My mother in law checked in and was ready for her appointment and after waiting 20 minutes in the waiting area they told her her appointment had been canceled. If I could give 0 stars to every America’s Best I would. Please do not waste your time.

Absolutely terrible scheduling and courteous for their customers. I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday and recieced a text to come in earlier on the Saturday before so I accepted. Only to wait over an hour and have my appointment cancelled because "there weren't enough doctors" that day. I was literally the only person left waiting. I refused to rescheduled and went somewhere else. The people before me were complaining as well and had their appointment cancelled also. Apprently this is just wait they do. Poor management! Save your time and go somewhere else!

I needed a pair of new glasses. I walked in straight to picking out glasses. Ms. Naomi walked over to help me. With her help, I was able to.pick out a great pair this time!! The lady that checked me out was great as well!! I most definitely will be back!!!

Amber Livingston was rude and made an appointment for me at the the next day at another location. I spent over two hours @ the university location. Went to North Lake was seen by the doctor, given sample contacts, checked out and was back home 20 minutes away before 1 pm. I have no intentions of returning to that location. I will stick with North Lake. There are still familiar face there and everyone is pleasant with great customer service. I only tried the university store because it is close to me and I haven’t seen a lot of traffic so I expected it to be smooth sailing. However, some tweaking of operations needs to be adjusted.

Amazing customer service.I went in to get my eyeglasses repaired (I needed a new screw in the hinge, my particular frame has a irregular screw size) the woman working there was quick to fix my glasses no questions asked. Replaced the screw, straightened the frame (which was all bent and uneven at the time), and finished by giving them a thorough clean.I was (literally, I am not just saying this) very impressed by the professionalism and customer service.I am pleased to find a place to go for all my glasses/contact needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, along with pricing that appears to be on par with anywhere else.This definitely is the place to go.
