This place is THE WORST!!! Attempted to rent a vehicle at least 3 times in advance. I pay in advance for the rental, but when I've showed up I'm told there's no vehicles available. At the least, these people should call customers ahead of time to let them know before showing up at the counter. Extremely Unprofessional and not accommodating

The closest available vehicle was a two hour Uber ride away. I prepaid for one week rental online. I called before I left my home to make sure there would be a vehicle waiting for me when I arrived. I arrived at my scheduled pick up time. The man swiped my car and denied me the rental. I asked him why and he told me he didn't have to give me a reason. He was rude, not helpful, and he seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. AND they held my money for five business days. I will NEVER walk in this establishment again. I advise that EVERYONE go ANYWHERE else.

I would leave a negative star if I could! I tried renting a car for my handicapped mother. We rented it for p/u in Hickory, NC to drop off in Gainesville, GA after we confirmed our rental and our debit visa card was charged we were called about 1-2 hours later saying there were no card available to call customer service. So I did and explained the situation. They changed our rental to Mooresville, NC for a “small fee” then we were called and told they had no cars as well and haven’t for weeks. So we called that number back and they told us we would have to go to Charlotte Airport…..so here I go, load up my handicapped mom, my 4 and 6 year and drive through rush hour traffic 70 miles. Then there is ZERO signage to tell us where to go to pick up the car so we drove through “hot wheel city” as my boys referred to the parking garage for 2 hours. I finally pulled into a spot that said “Avis returns” to be screamed at and when I explained the situation a nice lady helped me. I finally got my mom where she needed to go. Again, handicapped mom…..she went downstairs and had to stand in line for 2 hours! She can barely stand! No one offered her a seat or anything! Finally she got to the counter to be told that location does not accept debit cards!! And they canceled her reservation!! I called and spoke to a manager who was beyond unprofessional! Literally her response was “so what do you want me to do about it”

Renting a car can be a little tricky these days, especially if they're busy or low on available vehicles. You have to also be careful when using agents or travel apps. I recommend going straight to the rental car website to avoid policy issues that are available on travel sites that include car rental. I needed to rent a Luxury vehicle from this location twice and they delivered both times. The first vehicle I rented only had 26 miles on it and both were great rentals.The 2nd rental, I miscalculated an issue and although it was my fault, the representative (not sure of his name but he was there both times) was extremely helpful in accommodating me.The process was easy and faster than most rental car check ins/outs. I'd definitely rent from this location again.

Avis Rental Car on W. WT Harris Blvd has changed ownership as of April 2023.great new counter reps. Leonard and Gwen are so helpful. so friendly, and the transition was so smooth and fast. I had really decided to never rent from there again but I'm glad I gave it one more chance. I recommend if you had a bad experience with this place, give it another chance.

We went to this Avis location for a last minute rental due to being treated horribly at Enterprise. Leonard provided top notch customer service. He went above and beyond to get us out of there quickly!!! Thank you so much Leonard for being so nice!!

I want to give Nette the upmost respect she's a wonderful lady and I respect every time I come to Avis she helps me out if she makes her own good and is it smooth smooth transition in and out she deserves a raise and a promotion and she also deserves her own story wonderful customer service

I didn’t even want to put 1 star to this place. 100% scam! We book our car on Avis website with a company code so great deal for us. Once arrived on location after 3h of Drive, the car rental worker told us he didn’t have our car and that we had no other choice than to upgrade for SUV for triple the price, without even an apology. We asked to us our code to book the SUV to see the price, the worker didn’t want us to use it. A professional would find a solution to upgrade us without any fee as it’s his fault or at least corporate fault that our car wasn’t there. On last minute, thanksgiving weekend we had to find another car rental location as this one was smelling scam so much. Don’t go there! We’ll definitely make a report to Avis Corporate to report this.

I had the worst customer service at this avis car rental. The male worker there was very rude! He as no knowledge of car insurance. I arrived at 11:30 and left at 3:30 without a car. I called customer service they gave me a reference number to rent the vehicle and the employee would not look at it. This renting experience was the worst.I will be following up with corporate daily.

Worst rental experience of my life if I could give these guys negative stars I would. I’ve rented cars numerous times and plenty of different rentals. The gentleman at the counter has no customer service experience!! I don’t even think he should be allowed to have a job honestly. The look is highly unprofessional sloppy and unprofessional! He shouldn’t be the manager of this rental car company who I’ve been dealing with for numerous years with a corporate account has gone under tremendously! All the reviews are proof! Something has to be done! They didn’t have my car after i prepaid and arrive then gives my car to a different customer and then tells me he doesn’t have my car and can’t do anything. Then says i can pay $40 dollars extra per day for a compact suv when i rented a premium. It’s all unacceptable

The other day I dropped off a car there that I drove from Washington, D.C. The manager there, I believe his name was John, was super friendly and accommodating. Super quick and smooth experience. No complaints and would recommend!

I am disgusted by this service the associate who assisted me was rude and just an a-hole . He knew the door was locked and starred at me as I am trying to open the door, he continued to eat his chips and just starred. He finally unlocked the door like after 2 minutes then he proceeds to tell me that the car I booked isn’t even there !
