Went to Carolina Volkwagon looking for a use Jetta that I saw online. My salesperson, Richard, was very helpful and professional. he was very forthcoming with information and I felt that he was dealing honestly and openly. While I ultimately purchased a different vehicle from another location, this decision in no way reflects the professionalism of both Richard and Carolina Volkswagen. I would not hesitate to shop for a car wth them in the future.

While I appreciated the efforts of selling me a car minutes before they were closing, I am still waiting to finalize the sale as I have not received documents to transfer my title as well as to finalize the financing.

Update: still haven’t received my second key (after purchasing 3 days ago and driving up an additional time to sign papers that apparently weren’t working the day I “bought” the car.) Still also owed $3,000 check that was supposed to be given to me yesterday, 2 days after purchase, now they are saying it’ll be another at least 3 days to get said check.Literally probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had purchasing a car and having to deal with incomplete deals. I shouldn't have to wait days (almost a week) for a check owed to me or for a second key to a vehicle I purchased. Completely ridiculous and I will never do any purchases with this dealership again.
Communication from before even going to the dealership was short, sweet and to the point. Once there, Brittany was able to get everything done smoothly and with a smile. Thanks for everything!

My family and I are new to the country and have been looking to trade in our 2019 Volkswagen Jetta, we have been working closely with Richard Albino here at Carolina Volkswagen. I cannot say ENOUGH wonderful things about this dealership! After shopping around and NOT wanting to go to another, I called and Rob Poliquin, sales manager was not only the nicest, but the most straightforward, helpful person I have dealt with to date! The sales person he put me with, Richard Albino, went above and beyond and between Rob and Richard, I had the absolute easiest, fastest, best experience I have ever had at any dealership! Rob really helped me from the phone call to the drive off in my new Tiguan! Definitely go see these two guys, you will NOT be disappointed!!!!

See the updates to my review below- we are at better but I always shoot for best. Not quite there yet unfortunately.
My grandfather always said growing up- Never take your car to the dealership for service Michael! Don’t be stupid! His assessment was it was more expensive and perhaps they will try to sell you something you don’t need. Carolina VW has proven my grandfather wrong again today. Came in with an appointment for lights coming on on the dash, and an oil change and inspection.
Waiting room was immaculate complete with a made to order Starbucks machine. On to the service-
I thought it would be a full $169.00 diagnostic fee. They hooked it up to the scanner, found nothing wrong. Cleared out the codes and charged me nothing extra for that when they sure could have. They did a video delivered to my phone of a complete once over of under the hood and under the car. AAA said I needed brakes. Carolina VW confirmed that my brakes were good. In fact everything looks great. They could have sold me on anything I didn’t need and I would believe it probably because they are the experts and I need my car in tip top shape.
They couldn’t do the inspection because codes were reset. They said I had to drive 50 miles first. Told me I could come back in the morning without an appointment to get the inspection. Took me in within minutes the next morning and completed a transmission fluid service as well without an appointment.
Generally i imagine appointments are recommended:)
My former private mechanic in Indian Trail never returned my call. Carolina VW is professional and responsive.
My late grandfather doesn’t need to know how good the dealership is… but perhaps you’d like to know.

Update 8/15/24- my confidence was a little scattered this week Carolina VW. I had originally gone in noting that the car was having trouble starting, and the lights were coming up On the dash. They stated that they cleared out all my codes and found nothing wrong. One of the text said to me when I was checking out The problem starting the car was probably just some bad gas . It wasn’t bad gas. It was a bad battery. A couple days later when the problem wasn’t getting any better I took the car to advance auto parts. They tested the battery and sure enough it was a bad Battery. I had to take it to VW because the battery had to be programmed to the car. This time I went to the VW dealer closer to my work. They thoroughly tested the battery and explained to me the procedure for testing the battery correctly when symptoms like mine occur. They Replaced my dead battery with a brand new battery. Problem solved two dealerships later. I really like the folks At Carolina VW. However, how did you miss a dead battery that two places one right after the other were able to quickly diagnose as the cause for trouble starting my car?
If Carolina VW is the quality establishment that I believe it was when I initially posted this review as 5 stars, Perhaps they will do something for me to win me back as a Customer. My time and inconvenience has to be worth something. We shall see how they respond to this updated review.
2 nd update 9-1-24 : the manager called me and listened to my concerns. Said it was an opportunity for training and learning on the part of his staff. He apologized, which I appreciated and I was going to increase my stars . They didn’t really offer me anything for my time, inconvenience and potential of getting stuck on the road with a bad battery but I guess that is how it goes. They don’t suppose they have to really do anything for me and they haven’t. The manager told me he would call me last week telling me how the situation was resolved- never got a call back. I know folks are busy. Basic customer service in my field is a return call within 48 hours. That never
