I and my family have several accounts with Schwab. There processes are slow and mostly inattentive. They are not time sensitive. I am trying to open an account for last six weeks and I am still stuck. If there is an issue they will tell you only when you send a message. To send a wire takes two to three days. I signed a wire request yesterday, but no response today. They are not busy but they are just plain lazy or disorganized. I am stuck with them as I have may accounts with them. They are worse then US government. Do not start a relationship with this bank if you can help it.

I can't vouch for this branch, however my experiences with Schwab have been 95 out of 100 positive for over 25 years. I left TDA because of poor customer service and have had wonderful customer service with Schwab. However, I will say I do not use branch based services - I am self-directed in my approach to investing and use the phone exclusively. My bank and Schwab and linked so no issues with funds transfers and the Think or Swim platform is wonderful. So, for all the "1" ratings, I'd like to know if these are due to trying to use the branch to conduct business. My experience over the phone has worked seamlessly.

Far worse than TDA. TDA was excellent overall. Schwab is terrible. Lots of bureaucracy. Have to go many levels deep to get help. Requires far too much of my time to get anything done. They make everything difficult. A terrible company from a customer perspective.

Long story short, I had to move my 401k. I went to this branch so they could HELP me, but instead they
-entered my address in wrong
-entered my phone number in wrong
-entered my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER in wrong
-entered my business name AND EIN in wrong
-entered my contingent beneficiary’s social security in wrong
I called the 800 number because I am DONE with this branch. First guy said they had no record of me (but they had my money because it was gone from Vanguard) he seemed confused, figured out ALL of my info was wrong, said he’d “check some things” and call me back, but never did.
The second guy said my money was there and everything was fine and he couldn’t understand why I was so upset or what else I wanted him to do. So I finally asked for a supervisor. Who said NO ONE BOTHERED TO UPDATE MY INFORMATION. I spoke to 2 people who said they would, but no one did. They lied about it. All 3 of them said they could very clearly read my handwriting.
Literally HOW does this happen?!?!
I will NEVER trust my money with this incompetent company, and you shouldn’t either

They read off the website when you call to ask for further information. The girl who answered had no clue and the FA’s cannot further explain or advise on retirement.

Very disappointed with Schwab. Requested a check from IRA as a QCD. $$ were withdrawn from my account but check hadn't arrived three weeks later. A second check was issued, and I was told it would be overnighted by two different representatives. Five days later, and no check. Called Schwab and was told the check has been sent out by regular mail. This shows very poor communication within the company.

They've owed me 200k for a year. Do NOT spend a single solitary penny with these scam artists. They get government incentives when they trick/force you to pay more in taxes. I'm going to have to get a lawyer

I recently needed to get something notarized and was dreading the trip to my bank (one of the "big box banks") that would probably eat up hours of my day. One suggestion came up that I should try calling Schwab to see if they offer the service, and they do!!Called ahead and Cooper told me that both persons manning the desk had the ability to notarize documents, no appointments needed.Later in the day, I made my way over to Schwab. The SouthPark location is super convenient, they have their own, dedicated parking lot that was easy to get in and out of.The counter is shared with TD Ameritrade, so once you figured out which side of the main desk to go to, it was a breeze. Cooper looked like he just came back from lunch, or a break but he remembered my voice from my phone query and we got to notarizing (with valid ID and documentation of course!)There was no line and the whole thing probably took 15min (I spent more time driving to the location I bet). Of course, I was only notarizing two documents (total of 6-8 pages of information for my professional engineering license... so I'm sure you need to allot for more time if you have a lot of paperwork to go through and review). It also helps that I am a Schwab account holder. Overall it was a great experience, and I need to think of them more often when I need to do "official business things" or in need of a notary.

This location doesn't print checks. Weren't the most helpful with my questions over the phone.

As a high wealth investor I contacted Schwab regarding a US Treasury/ Muni bond investment. Gave specific criteria and exact feedback necessary to place the investment with Schwab. Once in contact with Scott (a self professed bond guru) it went downhill almost immediately. Scott seemed irritated when asked to explain data he provided. He had a hard time accepting the fact I asked for more detailed information. After explaining I must be challenged he hung up.INVEST ELSEWHERE!

people at this branch are good solid folks.some of the people you might encounter with charles schwab's phone service either in placing a wire or trying to set up anything external sometimes are lacking in the basic skillset. Speaking English as a primary language being the main problem. normally their people are good but sometimes someone hires someone for a phone job who cant speak english clear enough for folks to understand.
