These people were rude and disrespectful. I have been paying for my membership there for over five years; even with the COVID-19 pandemic, I never stopped paying. I had an issue with my bank card, and they were unwilling to work with me. The front desk was rude, and the manager, Paul, was rude.

Went here for free as a Guest from the Hotel in the same building. The Gym is massive with a basketball court, big swimming pool, cardio-, endurance- and strength area with weights. Therefore no waiting to use any of the machines/facilities/ weights. Some of the weights seemed rather old and I personally don't see the connection of fitness and faith. Overall nice spacious gym!

One of the nicest YMCA I have been to (mostly Canada). Plenty of equipment and workout space, with basketball court, indoor track, swimming pool, and very very friendly staff!

A victim of its own success and some structural issues. Before Wells Fargo came back this was an escape from the crazy crowds of Dowd. It has everything you need, if not a lot of weights comparatively, and first rate locker facilities. Now? Too many people have added 5-10 minutes of weight time onto workouts. And the aerobic classes in the middle basketball make it Impossible to hear your own music.Good but busy, the story of the Y as gym in Charlotte.

This Y is too busy. Idk what happened but I have been coming here for 6 months and I am out of town for a week and suddenly it's a zoo. Where the heck did all these janroni's come from. Fair weather fans should stay at home or go after work.

It is very well packed YMCA location. They got basketball court, running track ,swimming pool (which unfortunately closed at the moment) , weights , cardio area and even CrossFit (sort of) room . Environment is clean and in great condition. Not sure how busy this place gets, when I was there it was barely any people .Highly recommend

Great environment, it's clean and has all the equipment. There is also a pool, punching bag ,and my favorite -the indoor track. The staff is also great, very pleasant and welcoming. It's a clean place, with a tranquil tone. I have been a patron for several years ,and I have never regretted my membership.

Everyone in Charlotte seems to love the Dowd YMCA, but I'd like to offer that Childress Klein is one of the Y's best kept secrets. Maybe it's because it's in an office building in uptown, and that scares people away, but the parking is free via parking validation, and the elevator literally takes you from the garage to the front door of the Y. The equipment is great, clean and the A/C is usually nice and cool, as opposed to the Sweaty Dowd. Never have to wait for the equipment I need as it's rarely busy. Definitely prefer CK over Dowd in the uptown area!
