I have been waiting for two months on a part that was originally said to have a 2 week turn around. I called and was told the order was never placed and to wait two more weeks. Garbage đ service.

This location was more customer oriented 15 years ago....it's now just like every other tire store out there

Too long/didnât read: Firestoneâs faulty installation caused my engine mounts to shear off and damage my oil pump, causing ~$3k in damages.
Iâm writing this review with the goal of urging everyone to be cautious about taking their car to Firestone Steele Creek. I had been taking my car to this location for several years and had trusted them to be honest about what was wrong with my car without overcharging me. After this incident, I realized I was naĂŻve.
Late last year, I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. The manager let me know that there were a few critical issues wrong with my car, one of them being that my engine mounts needed to be replaced. He showed me some pictures of how they looked and was very informative, so I trusted him and went ahead and got them replaced.
When I picked up my car, I noticed that it was making an extremely loud noise when accelerating that wasnât normal. I immediately called the manager and let him know, and he instructed me to bring it back in. After looking into it, they realized that they had installed the incorrect mounts, which was concerning to me. The mechanic who drove my car from the shop area to the front of the store would have heard that noise, and the fact that he was okay with me driving it off the lot worried me. However, Firestone was willing to fix it for free, so I let it slide.
A few months later, I was driving when I heard an extremely loud popping sound, as if a tire had exploded. Afterwards, there was a rattling noise that was so loud that my floorboards were shaking. After towing it to a mechanic, it was determined that Firestone incorrectly installed my engine mounts, which resulted in them shearing off, hitting my oil pump, and damaging my oil pump.
What a nightmare I had to deal with in not only getting this issue fixed but making sure that Firestone paid for it. Through this process, I learned that Firestone probably shouldnât have even replaced my engine mounts in the first place. Not to mention the other ârecommendationsâ they had for fixing my car that were found to be completely fine by a different mechanic.
If youâve made it this far, if thereâs one thing you take away from my review, DONâT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. They canât be trusted.

Jason and crew always do a great job of taking care of my car and explain their recommendations so that I understand not only the âwhatâ but also the âwhyâ so that I can make the best decision. My one gripe is that there isnât a courtesy shuttle, so those who donât live right nearby may have trouble getting to their next destination.

With prior appointment for nc annual safety inspection, waited half hour my car was still outside parking lot. Terrible front desk service, had to cancel it and drove away.
Wondering the appointment means anything to the Firestone shop.

Setting an appointment at this place means nothing. They treat you the same as a walk-in. Itâs taken going on 2 hours to get a state inspection. Such a waste of time.

iâm not one to leave bad reviews on stuff, but today i went to this location to see if i could get air on my tires, i asked the man very nicely if there was a way i could get help with air and from the jump he had an attitude, rolling his eyes, sighing very loud and being snappy. hope he knows he made a girl cry đđđ

I came here to get my car inspected and thought it would be a quick in and out. They were fully booked, and I made had to book an appointment for a different day. I came here, and the lady at the counter was awesome to get me checked in and got my car inspected it took like about 40 mins, and I was out. Though my inspection failed and had to get my car re-tinted to meet NC state requirements and I came back some time later to complete the inspection.

Quoted one price over the phone and once work was complete, the price was almost 3 times the original quote. Will not use Firestone again after this. A bunch of additional fees were added in that were not shared originally.

They put the wrong tire on my car but replaced it with the correct one for free. One of their mechanics also overinflated it to more than 40 psi. A minor inconvenience but still, shouldnât the mechanic check to make sure itâs the right one before the install?

I booked an appointment online after noticing a nail in my tire. I called in around noon on a Saturday to make sure that I could still come at 4 pm to get it taken care of. The person I talked to basically told me that I didnât have a place in line since I wasnât physically present in the store (aka booking an appointment online is pointless). He also told that I should come in to drop my car and then call back at the end of the day to see if it was even looked at. If it wasnât looked at, I would have to come pick it up the next day. I explained to him that the issue was just one tire (it has a nail in it) and I wasnât in a position that I could drop in my car. He stated that it was corporate policy to give priority to people who drop their car off? Whatâs the point of an online appointment then if walk-ins are preferred? Why would I drop my car off for hours when they wouldnât even be able to look at it potentially at the end of the day? I ended up going to another competitor. Not only did they honor my appointment but I was in and out within 15 minutes. I will not be using Firestone going forward.
