I want to thank everyone that donated their holiday items at the Balantyne Goodwill off Lancaster highway. It was a wonderful sight to see how goodwill employees displayed your trees, center pieces, pillows, wreaths cones, table settings, bells, ribbons, wrapping papers, candle holders, candles, trees decorations, and tree topping. Every employee was always willing and ready to work hard for the holiday keeping the shelves fully stocked . ThankYou Goodwill for helping me be able to have an amazing holiday display. Can't wait to see what’s on your shelves for 2024 .See ya next year ❤️

there needs to be a name change…“Goodwill” does not fit. today i saw a wooden vase priced at $14.99. on the bottom was the original sticker from Ross with an $8 price tag. i asked the young man that worked there how they determine the prices and he said “if it looks nice it’s a higher price.” say what? y’all have lost your minds Goodwill. this is just plain greed. i will never ever again donate to your scam

Here's the thing.... I find some awesome things, but your prices have gotten RIDICULOUS! Some of the things I put back knowing I can get it CHEAPER elsewhere for NEW! What happened to those that donated got a 25% DISCOUNT!? Your making a HUGE PROFIT off of what we DONATED so WHY can't we have a percentage off? That's only FAIR! For a place that's supposed to be a non profit agency, you sure do pull a lot in to fill those deep pockets. ? Isn't this place supposed to HELP PEOPLE? Not rip them off?

WOW... Let me just say WOW. I've never left a review before but I made my grandson show me how because I'm blown away by the service. The young man with the long hair and tattoos who came out to help me was incredible. I had some very heavy items I needed to donate and while my neighbor helped me get them in the car he couldn't come with me to the store. I was very nervous pulling up to the store especially knowing the large boxes were full of my previous china that my daughter didn't want. I got out of my vehicle and was quite nervous as I've never visited a goodwill before. Just when I felt my nerves begin to rise this nice young man came running up to my Buick and asked how I was doing. He was on the smaller side, kind of like my grandson. So naturally I was very nervous when he eagerly went for the large box. However he was not like my grandson at all. He lifted this box with such ease. I was shocked and admired the dedication and professionalism he showed. You don't see that much in young people anymore. It made a very nerve wracking experience completely stress free. He gave me a receipt for the items and before I knew it I was on my way. It's really the little things that can make an experience and I will definitely be back soon!

All of your reviews are accurate in someways, most of your reviews are basically on the employees. If you didn't know goodwill helps anyone get a job, even felons or very d*** people in some cases.Their process of selling furniture is not hard for employees, basically someone purchases a piece of large furniture, DPs are notified and come up front to get said furniture. We put a label on it to show it's sold and bring it to the back, but in some cases depending where the furniture is placed the tags can fall off that show it's sold, someone could take it off and bring it up front and just resell it, or in most cases someone forgot to pull the piece of furniture off of the floor and it is sold again.

Like and sometimes the same items are priced differently on a daily basis. It all depends on who is doing the pricing.

Here we go, this place is pretty basic in regards to a Goodwill as they are consistent with being willing and ready to ring in the donations. My family is big on donating and have always turned to Salvation Army & Goodwill mostly due to the convenience of being able to just pull up and drop off. We honestly prefer donating somewhere that provides items to the less fortunate for FREE. The fact that this place, alongside Salvation, actually resale the items and not for a good price as I could sale the items for a better price myself. I usually contact a shelter that take donations for residents when donating or call Habitat for Humanity to have items picked up from furniture to clothing as they are used directly to clothe and furnish homes for the less fortunate at no cost to them. I've been inside this location a couple of times with my family who were in town looking for a vintage top. I did witness a couple of people getting items they desired at reasonable prices.
