Flew in from MN. Came with my band mates to check it out since it was Black Friday. Had some guitars I was interested in. Asked one of the employees if I can get a guitar cable. Employee answered, “sorry we all out.” And just walked away. We felt uncomfortable asking other customers who are playing and testing guitars. Maybe this is why so many guitar centers are going out of business. Lots of employees doing nothing.

When an employee tells you at checkout that your item comes with three years of protection if it fails, that implies that the coverage is included in the cost. Of course, it isn't. They put the itemized bill in my bag, and I didn't read it until I got home and discovered I was charged a pretty big fee for an extended warranty. My bad. I won't make that mistake again. The proper way to handle this on the employee's part is to ask, "Would you like to purchase the extended warranty or additional coverage." Otherwise, it's deceptive. You can do better than this Guitar Center.

My partner and I simply planned to peruse, but we ended up buying an AKG K371 Closed Back Studio pair of Headphonesand the Alvarez AG610CEAR/SHB GA AE Guitar Shadow BRST. Not planned, especially the guitar but when we went into the acoustic room, there was a gentleman there playing this very guitar and it sounded so good that when we just picked his brain about a good starter guitar he suggested that very one. We got Brian the attendant there to assist us with his suggestion on a starter guitar and he played the Alvarez and was shocked by how good it resounded that he suggested it would be a good starter too. My partner always say he is in the right place at the right time and I suppose his thought proved true. Brain the clerk was so kind and informed us very throughly.

To anyone that knows me or knows of me... I typically am addressed as Shredder.I have been visiting this store since the day it opened, and I've known brian since he started. He is absolutely one of the kindest person I know.Unfortunately, Live in my vehicle behind Sam's.I have gone there basically every day for a month at the very least.I had to sell all of my guitars just to barely get by.Playing guitar isn't just fun...its my lifeline and is the one thing keeping me alive and sober.During this time, Grace, Brian, Matt, Brennan and the guy in pro audio (I'll learn your name soon lol) have all been super nice and always available to help when needed.Being able to spend time there helps the day go by fast, and pulls me away from reality for a while. That being said, thank you.

After a few weeks of searching, I finally decided what I wanted. Found it in stock at this store, drove 30 minutes there to find out they didn't, in fact, have it, despite the website saying they did.Whatever, shame on me for not calling, I guess.Drive home 30 minutes, start searching, try to create an account, website times out and redirects me back to the beginning 4 times.Fine. Whatever. I have a discount code for 15% off is motivating me at this point or I would have just dropped it.Try to create an account from my work laptop, same issues.Try again from my phone, finally works. Get to check out, only to receive the "oops, the discount code you entered doesn't work for this item"I tried so hard to just throw my money at this business it's unbelievable. Never again

A friend and I visited this location so I can buy everything essential for a great home studio. We were there at opening and the employees never acknowledged us. The speaker section was in disarray and no one assisted us the entire 45 minutes there. I shared with the manager the speakers I wanted to buy and she asked us to wait but never came back. No energy or courteous service! We left and I will probably go to their online competitor. I went for the in person experience and received the worst customer experience possible. I hope higher leadership address the manager and employees to avoid other potential customers from walking away over poor service.

The staff was extremely helpful in assisting with the purchase of a guitar. They made sure that everything was okay with the used guitar that I purchased. They even made sure that the case was included (which I was unaware of).

Worst customer service ever. Spent 30 minutes just waiting for someone to help me. I never even got a hello. Only 3 customers in the store. I could've walked out with a couple of guitars and nobody would've known. Did I? LOL. Finally had to search for help and found a guitar instructor. He should've been able to help but not. He did however find a girl to take my money at the register who said she was a manager. Spent $1500 that I wish I could've spent somewhere else.

I did not stop in this guitar center but I did call in all the way from Philly about a guitar I really liked online. Chris was more than happy to help me he even went got the guitar off the wall. Looked it over, hooked it up tried it out. Made sure everything worked and I was completely happy before we got off the phone and I was ordering it. I wish more people in Guitar Center’s were like this I just wanted to say thank you so much to chris for going above, and beyond to help someone out stop in and see him for sure.

If I could give less stars, I probably would. Waiting to make a purchase for over an hour. Was told they only have 1 person working this side of the store and he’s been in a meeting. Definitely don’t wanna make sales. No wonder these box stores shut down.

They guy in Audio/Sound was superb! I wish I knew his name I believe he was Hispanic and worked during the day. He deserves an award. Patient, informative. I am a novice and I think I moved up a couple notches just speaking with him.

Very, very poor service at the Charlotte Clay Rd branch! Not enough employees to handle the number of clients, and some employees not well qualified. Many of us standing for hours, waiting... three days there were the same. Another client, musician, helped us more than the staff. The manager was in her office, hardly helping at all.

Good store. However, I cannot tell which is more scarce, the inventory or the staff. Never anyone around. Waits are sometimes 30-40 minutes. I’m actually in pro audio right now with no staff and phone ringing.

I've always liked the staff here (Troy's the man!!), it's really great now though. I've had 10+ great experiences in a row at this store by now. even amongst the RIF Guitar Center has seen. The team here is slammed to the gills everytime I'm in and they truly do their best to keep up with the attention required from probably the most frustrating customer base in the retail industry.
