Very poor service, Last week, I went to their shop and ordered 3 pounds of goats they gave me 4.69 pounds of lamb full of fats. Their meat cutting staff is not fully trained,

I've been coming here for 2 decades for 1 reason: fresh baked daily markouk. (IYKYK) Growing up in a Lebanese family and cooking all the best middle eastern foods - trust me when I say the markouk and Lebnah alone is worth the trip to this halal market (think bodega). Dingy, somewhat organized, and eclectic you can find everything from grains & meats, bulk sized tahini, junky trinkets to olives, hookah equipment and supplies, dried spices and middle eastern desserts. The market is attached to a bakery serving up all kinds of middle eastern foods - fatayer, knafe, pita, and much more! I recommend the minced meat and pine nut fatayer- so so good. It's a treasure hunt and is in a small area of Sharon Amity with a fair few other middle eastern spots to try like Al-Basha next door. If you're looking for the flavors of home (Lebanon, Syria) this is as close as charlotte can get.

Stopped by for their bakery and was not disappointed! They have a large selection and everything we ordered was amazing. They also have lots of items to choose from in the market area.

The cashier guy makes me uncomfortable when I shop here. Bro, just let me browse and look at the selection. I hate feeling like I need to be rush out. I honestly stopped going here and just cross the street to the other halal store.

My wife went here to buy some groceries. The store has a bakery and a convenience store. She didn't see the Cashier at first but could smell tobacco smoke inside. She asked the cashier if he was smoking inside and he replied very rudely: "yes, do you have a problem with that" She told him "you're not supposed to smoke inside" and he told her to call the health department and to leave and don't come back. You better believe we reported them

Please don't buy meat at this place. I recently went there and asked for 3 pounds of beef with bones for pilaf, got home ready to clean and cook. To my surprise the meat was mainly bones and fat. I will not go there again. I will go to halal place in University city.

Very nice people run the place, don't be shy with your questions as they are happy to help. I grew up in the Middle East, and my wife lives to cook. She bought a Lebanese cook book and they have every spice listed - and many more! - in their well stocked shelves.

Do not buy any meat. They sell left over stinky old meat. We bought meat from this place just only it is halal but owner take advantage of Muslim faith and sell trashy meat for high price.
