Just finished having a relaxing massage done by Kimberly! She was amazing. She was very tentative and thoughtful. They have breast pillows ladies! So if you feel uncomfortable laying flat on your breast, they got you covered. Thank you, Kimberly!

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the third time that hand & stone canceled my massage without texting me to let me know. I know if I don't show up they charge my account. But if they cancel without notice it's would you like to book again?So if I cancel my account I'm out $160.00 because they will not refund my money. To them it's no big deal but to me it's a lot of hard earned money.

To remain professional I’ve decided not to describe my experience in detail as a former employee at Hand and Stone Rivergate although I have every right to. Let's just say as a client I would be careful. After working for this franchise for over a month I was fired instantly for refusing to have a tablet with an operating camera in the room as it is very illegal to do so. As a therapist I take ethics and clients' vulnerability very serious and this company especially management should really consider taking courses to better understand the massage therapy scope. Front desk associates/management were very immature, unaware, rude and loud and quite a few of my clients complained of that being a concerning factor. The client's experience starts when they walk in the spa and this company doesn't understand that concept. I definitely recommend not settling for this location as there are just much better therapists and franchises in Charlotte than this one.

Kayla is amazing! Can’t recommend her enough. Made me feel safe and comfortable in a vulnerable position. Her calm and gentle spirit is perfect for those who may be apprehensive in starting with a new massage therapist. Will be back next month!

Maricela was fantastic! She asked me what areas were bothering me prior to my massage so she knew exactly where to focus. She also gave me suggestions of what I can do at home after my treatment that would be beneficial. I would highly recommend her.

I actually came here to amend a bad review from last year that I apparently never actually left. lol A little over a year ago I canceled my membership because I could NEVER get an appointment and the front desk was always very snippy with me. Recently I decided to give them another try and I am SO happy I did. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and my massage was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Rachel immediately knew what kind of pressure I needed as soon as I mentioned having fibromyalgia, which is something most massage therapists, in my experience, do not understand. For the first time in a long time, I had a painless massage AND the therapist managed to get all the knots in my neck out.

I have been coming to the location monthly for about 9 months, and although I have had some good therapists and massages, I will say today was by far the greatest with Maricela. She is new to this location (today was first day) but not new to her craft!!! I definitely will request her again and again and again!!!!!!

What a great experience… the receptionist was friendly and professional. My masseuse provided a deep tissue massage that was spot on. She was also professional, and responsive to the areas that required a little more attention. Great job Steel Creek team

We never know what's going on in another's life, nor do we know their finances. This is still bothering me after about 3 or 4 months, so I am reviewing.I had been going to see Karen, an absolute and divine gem, for many months. I would schedule my massage and chiropractic appts back to back for complete efficiencies.After my last visit with Karen, who as I understand has sadly now pursued other opportunities elsewhere, Jasmyn, the young lady who typically sits behind the receptionist wall, was seemingly working on a schedule. Jasmyn heard me making my next appt for Karen and interrupted, saying she didn't know that Karen would still be there, since you had given notice. She went to the back and returned, reiterating with the myself and the receptionist, who was most polite and cordial, that no, Karen would likely not be present in 2 week's time.I told the receptionist to please cancel all of my future appointments and Jasmyn became upset. She then literally and nastily argued with me that there were many other great masseuses. I said that I had had one other person, whom I will not name, and was quite displeased. I, like many, work very hard for my coin, and for the expense of a 90 minute hot stone massage, I will not pay the cost and be dissatisfied. That is casting no negativity to the other staff. As the customer, that is my preference and choice. I had to state the words, "I am not going to argue with you," until Ms.Jasmyn even considered being less heated with me. I asked about cancelation and she gave me the form. I asked for the franchisee's name and she gave it, telling me he was not involved in day to day business. I responded with a thank you, and that I was aware of the workings of a franchisee.Meanwhile, the poor receptionist girl was uncomfortably waiting for this to all pass. I deduced she couldn't say a word for fear of repercussions for her own job, and I totally understand. This interaction completely killed the relaxation that I had gained. I left quite disgusted and a bit mad.I just wanted you to know who is causing problems up front for you, and creating division in your business. The 3 stars is 100% for Karen as well as the polite reception staff. I returned finally yesterday. My massage was less than, a 60 minute, and not because my choice has gone, but because of lack of shoulder and neck work and insufficient pressure. I am pausing my membership.
