I have a membership I have been trying to cancel because my massage therapist is impossible to get in with and has cancelled on me twice. I’ve called 5 times since 3/18 to cancel and they continued to charge my card on 3/21. I cannot get in touch with a manager and no one will follow through on my cancellation request or call me back.

I came to Hand and Stone in Ballantyne due to intense lower back pain. Nautica (apologies if I misspelled that) was amazing. She listened carefully to my description of the problem, asked insightful questions, and performed a deep tissue massage that left me feeling dramatically better. The fact that I’m rushing to leave a review the same evening speaks to the quality of her care and how much better I feel!

I booked a “couples massage” for my mom and I to have a little “spa day.” Everything seemed normal at first and the people at the front desk were very nice. We waited about 10-15 minutes and watched as everyone around us was called in, but we were still waiting. Around 10:05-10:10 someone came out and told us that there was a slight delay and that they would try to get us in as fast as possible. However, my mom overheard them saying that they were going to “message the group chat” to see if anyone else could come in, indicating that there just wasn’t someone here for us. Around 10:15-10:20, the manager came out and told us that unfortunately she could not get both of us in as scheduled, only one of us. She also offered to reschedule us at a different location for the evening, but that did not work for my schedule. It seemed like one of the massage therapists was a no show, which happens, but it was frustrating and disheartening and they didn’t seem to have any backup plans in place. They offered us a free hot stone upgrade for the next time we come (we would still have to pay for the massage in full), but we don’t plan on going back and giving them another try. Everyone was very nice and they tried to provide alternate solutions, but I had other things going on that day and was just hoping to have a massage at the time and location it was scheduled.

Hi there. I came in the other day for a massage. It was good I appreciated they do the front legs but I felt like I told my massage therapist that I wanted a lot of pressure on my upper back/neck and she didn’t really spend extra time on it. Then, she said she was done and when she left I looked at the clock (she started mind you 2 minutes after my 5pm appointment) and finished me up 10 minutes early. I’ve never had a massage end early like that before and I didn’t really appreciate that I paid for 60 minutes and it wasn’t that length of time. I’ve had others in the area that are good just were booked up but I tried it out. Just not my type of place! I’ll stick with Eden’s Massage.

I want to express the profound frustration I experienced at Hand and Stone Ballantyne Center. Despite booking an 80-minute hot stone massage four days in advance, my scheduled 5 PM service on 01/14/2023 turned into a nightmare. After completing paperwork at 4.55 PM, I waited for 15 minutes before my service specialist, Julie, finally appeared. Another 15 minutes passed in the room without anyone starting my massage, leaving me feeling insulted. I stepped out at 5.30 PM, and when I shared my experience, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the 35-minute delay and later I walked out my appointment by cancelling my service. It's really disheartening to question if my treatment was influenced by my ethnicity, and this blatant disregard for my time and lack of apology make it clear I won't recommend this center to anyone. The management needs to take stringent action to address such disrespectful behavior and negligence.

I’ve been a client at this location since moving to Charlotte in 2020, I’ve experienced many esthetician’s at this location that come & go unfortunately. Tonight’s facial was with Joanna, this is the first time I’ve been serviced by Joanna and I must say Joanna is the absolute BEST. She is patient, friendly , kind , passionate about skin care and provided me with the utmost level of thorough & personalized solution focused skincare. The previous estheticians were good but I felt with the previous estheticians, I was just a number. However Joanna listened to my skin concerns, educated me , provided true customized solutions based on my concerns. I highly recommend Joanna and I plan to stick with her moving forward. Thanks Joanna !!!

My 50 mins session was cut down to 35 mins. The therapist just told done and before I could tell anything she told she was thirsty and she left the room. She was extremely chatty. The irony is at the beginning of the session they make you sign a ton of documents and I specifically selected I want quiet time so zero points on that. This location is cheaper compared to the rest but the quality of work was bad for me

Wonderful experience. My facial was so worth the money. The esthetician was so knowledgeable about the needs of my skin. She recommended what was needed. Did not seem like she was interested in making extra bucks. She was looking out for my needs. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and recommended a few easy to save money in the process. Will definitely be back.Thank you

Massage was ok certain body parts were missed and as I exited my appointment I started to feel pain in areas that were missed because the toxins and tension wasn’t released. One shoulder blade region had more attention than the other and I left feeling that imbalance. I could have went to my nail salon and had them do it better. Then at checkout the lady at the desk offered me a monthly package, I very clearly said no thank you. She pursued to pry and ask me why, my no thank you should have been good enough. Wasn’t a fan and wouldn’t come here again.

Such a great staff at this location. A very welcoming front desk, knowledgeable estheticians that focus on your specific skin concerns, and the most relaxing massages from therapists who truly care about your well-being, especially Mely if you like firm pressure!

I go here monthly to get facials with Mandy. She’s amazing and she makes me feel and look amazing every time I see her. And I can’t forget about reception: Kayloni, Courtnai, and Elena are fast, friendly, and so much fun! The only thing that could make this place better is to bring back the coconut water!! It was the perfect refreshment after every visit. Overall great place to be and highly recommend
