Iswa Nature Preserve offers a charming and tranquil escape for nature lovers. The park features a 1.4-mile loop trail that is generally considered easy, making it suitable for casual hikers. The path begins along the river and meanders into the woods, with some gentle uphill sections. Visitors can enjoy scenic views, especially near the train bridge, and there are benches available for resting and soaking in the surroundings. The preserve is a peaceful spot, often quiet, allowing for a serene outdoor experience. However, guests are advised to be cautious about their belongings, as there have been reports of theft in the parking area. While the trails are shaded and pleasant, some visitors noted the absence of garbage cans and restrooms. Overall, Iswa Nature Preserve is a lovely place for birding, fishing, and leisurely strolls in nature, embodying the spirit of its name, which means "people of the river" in Catawba.
So very beautiful. Moving down here to Florida, I am so pleased that the children find such pleasure in education Very handsome on.

Favorite place to walk my dog, a bit popular on the weekends but don’t see many people otherwise. Just wish people would respect having to keep their dogs leashed as posted.

Great park but BEWARE! - watch out for your belongings. This weekend there was theft done to our vehicle and someone else's. This is a hot spot where people steal and break into windows. We didn't have any expensive belongings but I think the public should be aware.
