In search of ingredients for a few Asian recipes, I decided to visit Kim Anh Oriental Groceries & Gifts. The store is inside the shopping plaza, off of I-485 at Exit 3. I can say that upon entering, everything was really well-organized, which I usually appreciate since it makes things simpler to find. To my delight, I did see a number of products that I had not seen since my trips to Asia. In terms of customer service, I wasn't asked if I needed assistance finding anything, but it was fine with me because I wanted to look at some products. There is a $10 minimum purchase restriction, as was previously noted, but it didn't concern me because I knew I would spend more. :) If you plan to make any Asian-inspired recipes or any other cuisines that call for specialist ingredients check out Kim Anh Oriental Groceries & Gifts.

I love the amount of snacks in this shop. It is well organized, fair prices, and they even carry baked/steamed-prepared Vietnamese foods.

Very convenient where it is located, staff are friendly but I didn't really go there for that although it's very important. They sell all the necessity in cooking that I need, clean, organized, well stocked. Love this place, beats driving to independence or south blvd.

The only Vietnamese grocery store in the Steele Creek area. The store is clean and well organized, and not smelly like most other Chinese/Vietnamese ones. The store is not big but we can find most of the stuff for our need. The price is reasonable, some are cheaper, some are more expensive than the bigger stores all the way up at the Asian Corner. The owner is very nice and helpful if you need to ask for anything.

Clean and organized. I really came for quick meal options and snacks, and quickly found out that I'm spoiled by H Mart. You'll find basic ingredients here but nothing for the lazy.

Just like every one else. I experienced rudeness from the owner lady. My friend complaint to me about this store and I should stay away but I needed to get a few packs of spring rolls. Since there is no other Asian markets on this side of town. I will drive out of the way to get friendly service next time. Lady, if you don’t like your customers, then you need to keep the store close or hire a nice person so the rest of us can get decent customer service.

Looks pretty clean. Good variety of products. I like the large variety of coffees that I don't normally find in other asian markets. Also has a lot of candies and cookies for snacking. Employees aren't very friendly nor helpful. I've been here several times and have never been asked if I need help finding anything. I've asked questions and I'm treated more like I'm just bothering them. I come here for particular things, knowing where these items are located, and expect very minimal customer service. If you can shop like this, you'll do fine here and will most likely find whatever you're looking for.

A decently stocked Asian grocery store in Steele Creek. Places like Super G Mart in East Charlotte are going to have a larger selection but they're on the other side of the city. So really glad this place is here.I've never had any of the issues these other commenters mention (but I can't speak to their experiences). The solution to the issues I have read are:1) Bring a $10 bill in case your order doesn't meet their minimum amount for card transactions (pretty standard for a small business like this)2) Check the dates on everything as you shop (like anywhere else) and don't buy any expired stuff if you find it
