My card was stolen and a purchase was made at the store totaling 968$ for a Shutterfly camera. Best Buy fraud dept closed my case which I've reopened due to the negligence of research. Multiple representatives stated theirs an uptick in fraud cases with Best Buy and scam emails. Glad to have seen others having similar issues so I can use this in the police report.

A little history. When we lived in Cornelius, we always shopped at the Mooresville Store. Over the years, I bought at least 5 high end camera systems from them including lens and video equipment. That also extended to anything electronic such as Sound System. large screen TV's, Go Pro's etc and of course, a couple of computer systems as well. There was one guy who was my "go to" for cameras but after a while, he was charged with selling and promoting Apple Systems which was a waste because he was firmly rooted in the Wintel Standards. By now, I'm sure he is up and running on the Apple Platform but at the time, it was a blow to me who operates in the Nikon/Nikkor world.Put up with it for a while because in the end, I did get the help I needed. That is till Covie hit.Because of Covid, there was a long period where I could not even get into the store. When I did, everything I needed or wanted to purchase was at the Northlake Store.I had been to the Northlake Store a couple of times but was never really impressed. When we moved from Cornelius to Denver NC, we bought a Samsung large screen TV for the living room. My wife is a football nut, so it was for here.Because of Covid, the only size we could get was 65 inches although what we wanted was the 75-inch model. With that, we also got a Samsung Sound Bar which lasted for two to three months before it went out. Called the Geek Squad and it was dead, and they advised me to take it to the Geek Squad in Mooresville where we bought it. We bought an extended warranty as well.Since we originally wanted the 75-inch model, the technician had informed us that the 75-inch model was now available, and we could upgrade by paying the difference in list price between the two sizes. We upgraded and they just swapped out the Sound Bar for a new one and all that remained was to schedule a time for the Geek Squad to come out with the new TV, pick up the old one and couple with the new Sound Bar.We up and running till about three weeks ago when the sound bar became intermittent. Called the Geek Squad since we pay for their premium service and we scheduled an appointment for last week.Came out and determined that the problem was a defective HSMI port on the sound bar. They suggested we take it back to best buy. Both of the technicians who service our accounts are now out of the Northlake store. In other words, some stores are now Magnet Stores and are centers for technology and resources. Went and checked in with the Geek Squad and could not be happier. The checked the MFG Serial number and it was on the list os Samsung Soundbars that had been recalled. They did not have a direct replacement in stock, but they gave us an in-store credit that we could use at any time.A last comment. While I had been here only a couple of times over the years, they have totally remodeled the store and it is well stocked. Walked back to the Camera Dept and they had at least 6X the number of Nikons that they had last time I was in Mooresville. When I lived in Cornelius, Mooresville was closed but now that I live in Denver NC, it's a wash. That said, I'm going to go to where I can find the merchandise I want and at this time, it's in Northlake.

Had someone steal my card info and purchase a $450 dollar watch. Not the stores fault HOWEVER not sure how an employee allowed an in store pick up of an over 400 dollar item to leave the store without proper identification from the customer. No identification OR email proof would have been provided since my id and card are with me and the pick up email was sent to my email somehow. An employee allowed someone to ultimately walk into the store and leave with an item they had zero proof of purchasing. Hope someone sees this and someone is held accountable for allowing this to happen.

For some reason, I cannot walk into this store without having a WTF moment. On one occasion, a worker cashes me out for a PS5 game that I had to order because the physical copy wasn't there. I found it odd that I never got an email, so I went to the store to inquire on my order. Come to find out, the worker never ordered the game correctly and cashed me out as if the game was there. When I tried to get the issue resolved the guy at the online pickup desk was treating me like a second class citizen. Fast forward, I purchase a TV as a present and decided to get the service plan at a later date. I walk into the store to purchase the service plan and was told that I can't by one employee. I knew that was BS, so I went to a manager who informed that I could. I was also picking up an item that I purchased online. Mind you, when I purchased the item, I chose the option for a gift a receipt. You guessed it, there was an issue getting the gift receipt. I'm starting to believe that everyone in this store took remedial classes in high school because something is off. I'm a firm believer in making an honest living, but this store lacks competency in a major way. This store could benefit from implementing continuing education on store policies, operations, and product knowledge. I doubt anything will change and judging by the other reviews, lots of people echo my sentiments. STAY AWAY FROM BEST BUY AT NORTHLAKE (Charlotte NC)

Don't know who is running the store but the customer service at the register SUCKS. If you going to have a geek squad member cashing people out make sure they don't have "I don't care attitude" . People forget that the sale matter in the long wrong for their job. If they are down they have to let people go, so it all starts with "Customer Service".

Young man working behind the "order pickup" counter was incredibly helpful. We go to the back to find the 65" we had decided for one of our rooms, we were helped by Alex who was blatantly rude from the second we asked him if they had the television we were looking for in stock. He had an attitude with my wife the second she made it clear we wouldn't be choosing a different...more expensive TV. His attitude is appalling after that, he becomes completely inattentive to us at the checkout counter as we pay, and likewise as we loaded the television in the vehicle. He might as well have ran back in the store for the amount of time he stayed outside to make sure we got it in our vehicle. Absolutely horrendous experience solely because of Alex!

It's not that hard to update your hours on your Google ad/yelp rather than just sticking a sign on the front door.

I was purchasing a Christmas gift on 12/07/21 and was told by the salesperson a manager that if I purchased a Total Tech subscription one of the benefits is 2-day shipping. He would call me when the package was received at the North Lake Best Buy store. He did not call me, and I can pick up the gift at the order pick up area. I stopped by the store and went to the order pickup desk on 12/10/2021. The Best Buy employee looked up my order and said that it was marked as delivered at my home. I told her it was supposed to be delivered at the store for pickup. She looked confused, so I ask to speak to a manager. the manager confirmed that the package was marked as delivered and the shipping address was the store address. She then said it might be in the store warehouse and she left to look for it. After a twenty-minute wait the employee said she received a call from the manager. The manager told her that my gift is still with their shipping carrier, UPS. Then I was told they could not give me an ETA on my gift, and that all they could do for me. Someone is not telling me the whole truth and I am not sure what I should do about this except share my experience and ask for a refund. Wish me luck

Purchased a laptop at this store in June last year and the battery prematurely failed under warranty. The local store's only solution was to recommend the item be sent back to the manufacturer for evaluation...which will take weeks. I explained that due to covid the laptop is needed for school and asked them to order a replacement battery and install locally and they refused. Also, they basically rubbed it in my face that I should've got the protection plan and they could do more. I bought locally thinking I could get a better customer service experience. I guess that's not the case. I appealed to store manager and their customer service hotline - if you can call it that. For future needs, I'll be purchasing elsewhere and recommend you do the same.

placed an order online today for macbook to pick up TODAY! never received any notification that my order was ready for pick up. called several times and was on hold and never got to speak with anyone. don't even waste your time calling. this really shows how much they don't appreciate a thousand dollar sale! i am considering cancelling my order and buying directly from apple at this point. why put pickup for today if you cannot get the order ready for pick up. seriously unacceptable. i won't shop here again.

Someone needs to train Nick who works in the Geek Squad, it was truly a disappointment dealing with him. Nick was rude, unprofessional and argumentative. I received a text telling me to come at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday to pick up my laptop. When I arrived, Nick argued with me telling me I wasn't supposed to be there. So I showed him the text I had received...he was still questioning why I was there. Instead of being professional and moral by apologizing for me wasting my time and gas he insisted on arguing with me. Thankfully Mr. Kelly was much better trained. He did apologize for the error one of his employees made. Even when Mr. Kelly was apologizing, Nick was still arguing and Mr. Kelly had to tell him to calm down he was handling this issue.

Not happy with there services and people representing them weren't professionals. Would not recommend them at all even though that is who Best Buy uses.

Love that this store has a camera expert to assist in the purchase of a camera. While he works for Canon he doesn't push you to the brand. He listens to what you are looking to accomplish then works with you to find the best option. I was so impressed by this. The camera I wanted wasn't on sale so I'm being patient. When it does I plan to buy a camera when it does. And I will go to this store to purchase it because this representative will be there. I am going with a Canon because it is what I have today so I don't want to lose the accessories and lenses I've already invested in...in case you were wondering.
