Ambiance was intimate and authentic. Seated and waited 20 min for chips/salsa, then another 10 min for water at the table. It took 45 minutes for our food to come, I ordered the Birria and it was underwhelming. Not a lot of flavor. The service was definitely lacking and I did not feel welcome as it took 20 minutes for someone to decide to take our table and serve us. We waited another 20 minutes just to get our check to leave. There were no water refills and let's just say I won't be back nor recommend anyone else to come here.

The ambiance is quaint. The food was delicious and I mean very delicious. Run and get you a birria taco or three. Beyond good. They lost a star for the slow service. They were very busy when we came but it took 30 minutes for us to get our fountain drank.

I was in the mood to try somewhere new for Taco Tuesday and popped into this place at the urging of a friend. Unassuming on the outside and tight and warm on the inside but I appreciated the artwork on the booths. It was packed so clearly it's popular! I specifically wanted to try the birria tacos (chicken version). I nearly filled myself up on the complimentary chips and salsa first! The chips were thin and crispy and the salsa had a great fresh tomato base and a kick of spice. The refried beans and rice that came with the tacos were mid. Both could have use a lot more seasoning and the beans were a bit too smooth. I'm an extreme texture person though soooo.... Anyway the tacos....they arrived piping hot. YAY! The shells had a wonderfully charred, crispy exterior and were filled to the brim with chicken and the gooiest cheese you can imagine. Onions gave a nice crunch and extra flavor. The chicken was tender and juicy and the birria sauce was rich and savory with a hit of cilantro. Perfect for dipping the tacos in it. The shell remained intact, even though I repeatedly dipped the tacos in that sauce up to my fingertips with each bite. I'm so glad I found this family run establishment and plan to go back and try other items because I eyed an insane plate of nachos on another patron's plate that had my name written all over it.

We’ve tried birria nachos, birria tacos and el pastor tacos. Nachos and birria tacos were really good. El pastor tacos were just ok, I wouldn’t order next time. They also gave us complimentary chips and salsa.

Maria's is always a great experience! We have been coming here for 3 years now and have never had a bad meal. I like to try new things each time but the best thing this far has been the birria ramen! It's just so flavorful and comforting! We also really loved the birria quesadilla/tavo/burrito that had the hot Cheetos on/in it! Most recently, I had the shrimp with garlic sauce and it was cooked perfectly. My husband usually gets the ACP each time. My go to drink is the QC Juicy margarita with chamoy and tajin! The parking lot is quite small so definitely carpool when coming here.Parking: Try to carpool as the parking lot is quite small

My mother in law ordered a lunch special combo burrito and chalupa. They brought out a freaking tostada with beans and lettuce and a single tiny tortilla rolled up with ground beef and sauce on top. Idk where you've eaten Mexican food before but I know that's not a burrito or a chalupa. The customer next to us had a similar issue with his "vegan" nachos. The rest of the food was nothing special, even the birria was sub par. The only good thing was the water. You're money is better spent down the street at a taco truck.

It’s simply not Mexican food the flavor is not there, the rice was sticky and the beans were over cooked. The salsa tasted like ketchup. I will say the service was too notched but not enough for me to come back. The steak was chewy and everything tasted like it was marinated inLime

I would give zero stars if I could. The food was NOT good at all. Flavor was off from the drinks to the food. Carne was so hard couldn’t even chew it. The beans had so much oil on the plate it was ridiculous. Don’t recommend!!

We’ve been eating at Maria’s for a few years now. I come here because the food quality and flavor are consistently good. However, I have noticed that when Maria is not in the restaurant, there tends to be issues with my food and the service. Today I ordered 2 barria taco combos on UberEats. My order arrived with NO consome sauce, which is the WHOLE point of birria tacos. I do not want to eat dry tacos. I called to discuss my order issue and the phone is OFF THE HOOK. Maria’s is my favorite birria spot so I’m writing this review to hopefully bring attention to the lack of customer service and attention to order detail, so that I do not have to find another restaurant for birria tacos. This was literally a waste of my money, as I will not be eating the tacos without the sauce. Also, I am disappointed that the phone is off the hook, meaning there is no way to communicate and resolve my order issue. I spent $59 and waited 1 hour and 30mins for food I cannot eat!!!
