I’ve held off on leaving a review for this location since I like to give places second/third chances but after today I’ve been cancelled 4-5 times within 30 minutes of my appt. One time I was in the waiting area and it was 15 minutes past my appt time when I went to the desk, another I was pulling into the parking lot after driving 20 minutes to make sure I was there on time and then at least twice day of. I totally understand if for one appt someone gets sick or car troubles but it’s nearly every time I attempt to come some “emergency” pops up. Will not be returning to this location.

The heart and mission at this location, to support people on their spiritual healing journey, was truly felt today. Maisee was amazing at providing a skilled therapeutic massage experience. I felt relaxed and reset afterwards. Holistic modalities such as massage therapy offer many benefits.If you’re looking for that missing piece on your self-care and self-healing journey, consider incorporating massage therapy. I wholeheartedly recommend Maisee at the University location!

The girls at the front desk at this location are always cold and somewhat arrogant. I have gone there for a year and one time I got a girl that smiled. They are not helpful and act as if you are the problem when you ask why you are being charged $100.00 for a 90 minute $90.00 massage. I pay them $70.00 a month for a massage or facial and always get an up charge fee of $10.00 something I wasn’t aware of when I signed up. If I didn’t have several ME gift cards I wouldn’t go anymore.And mentioning gift cards, my son went in for a $25.00 gift card this Christmas and at this location he was told he had to buy a 125.00 gift card, he mentioned the flyer that said you can get a $100.00 gift card and they told him he HAD to buy at least a $100.00 card and so he did because he wanted me to Easthave a ME card, even though he couldn’t afford it. I believe that may be against the law to do that to someone but I know for sure it was certainly unethical. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. I’ll go to another location from now on. I have been a member of Massage Envy for many years and go to various locations around the Charlotte area. I always book either a 1.5 hour or 2 hour session due to having arthritis and other back issues.I booked 2, 60 minute massages at this location. Someone from the location called to confirm my back to back bookings to which I confirmed, yes I want them back to back for 2 hours.I received a voicemail the morning of my massage stating there was a problem with my sessions. As I check in, first off the staff up front were very cold and exhibited short tones and they tell me the therapist can't do back to back sessions. I didn't understand since the schedule permitted me to. They told me the therapist is available for either sessions but not both which made no sense. As I am still confused about this, another staff firmly said, "he isn't licensed to do a 2 hour session". However, he can do 1.5. I agreed to that because that was as close to 2 hours as I could get. The girl at the front on the computer just stood there as the other 3 girls didn't make eye contact. I was waiting on some sort of confirmation that I was all checked in and everything had been fixed. There was nothing but silence and me standing there awkwardly. The girl at the computer finally realized I was waiting and said (in a very annoyed tone) "you can go to the waiting room now"The overall tone, attitude and miscommunication was extremely off putting. I have never experienced this sort of cold nature at any other location.As I'm waiting in the waiting room, I peek out to confirm when my facial was to begin to make sure that time hadn't also been adjusted. Again, rude and cold reply, "it doesn't start until 12:30" and turned around.Again, I am truly upset st this experience. I felt completely unwanted and unwelcome. It is unfortunate because the services are great but the front desk staff make me not want to return to this location.

It was my first facial and first visit to this location. This review is for Dallas. She is such a sweet and REAL woman, not to mention pretty and ambitious! Conversation was easy with her. She absolutely loves what she does!! She performed my facial, and I left feeling hydrated and admiring my face and skin. Thank you, Dallas!

I won’t be back. My appointment was at 10:30 for a 30 minute stretch. I went to the desk at 10:31 to make sure everything was okay. Instead of getting “Oh there’s no delay they will be right with you” I got blank stares and they said “It’s only 10:31.” I told them I’m okay with that, it’s not a big deal just wanted to make sure they aren’t behind in general. The woman in the waiting room told me hers got pushed back to 11am. So okay cool no biggie. My issue is the stretch started at 10:33 but ended at 10:54. I paid for 30 minutes but my service was only 21 minutes. I normally tip but that 9 minute difference was your tip. The stretch itself was okay. They did relieve some tension I had but it wasn’t as good as I’ve had at other Massage Envy’s. Go to another location. Read how recent the 1 star reviews are. Lack of professionalism and bad customer service seems to be the norm here. Again just go somewhere else.

It just is not a consistent experience. Sometimes deep tissue is deep ... sometimes not. Add ons for aromatherapy etc. feel like nickel and diming. Staff seems to turn over.

Scheduled appt on a Monday night for Tuesday at 4:30 pm. Tuesday morning, I called to see if any earlier appts were available? None available, I was also told that if I changed time, I would be charged a cancelation fee. Why? Because I essentially would be changing therapist and canceling. Ok - weird but no big deal. So heading over to my appt for 430pm, I am 2 mins away at 4:11pm. I received a call stating my therapist had to cancel because they had to leave. I understood things happen but nevertheless, where is my cancelation fee?I quickly realized that Massage Envy does not want my business, and I will oblige them. My time is valuable as well.

I want to take this moment to brag on Richelle!!! This lady has the hands of GOD!!!!! OMG!!!! Her technique is so relaxing and the staff at this establishment is amazing! I've always had a great experience. But Richelle!!! She is a rockstar! I always enjoy my therapy sessions with her!! She's such a nice and pleasant young lady to work with!! Thank you again Richelle!!!!!!!

First time going to this location. Shnaeda was my masseuse. She was absolutely, fantastic! She was pleasant, patient and communicated very well during my visit. The massage was a 10. I fell asleep multiple times; the best compliment I'm told. I signed up for a membership. I'm looking forward to continuing to have positive visits.

My massage wasn’t very good. Also it started 10 minutes late and ended 8 minutes early. I won’t be back to this location.
