The store wasn't opened as it should have been according to the hours when we got there. Then, as I was pulling out to leave, I saw the employee arriving. I was charged 29.99 for him to take out the SIM card from my old phone to my new phone and turn it on. I had to set up my phone. This store used to be a good store to go to. I don't know what happened to it.

Employees are not helpful or knowledgeable. Nobody acknowledges you when you walk in. They just stare at you like they dont want you there.

Please note: Most of the good reviews are from 1 1/2 + years ago before this location switched from corporate to franchised in the beginning of 2023.
STORY TIME: It was an Asian girl and a Spanish guy who were working together. They told me they were dating and how she moved from Cali to be with him. How cute. He also shared the illegal things he does online with "robucks". Truly, I didn’t care, but it's definitely a sign that he has unsavory morals and sees nothing wrong enough for him to be open about it.
I’ve worked for T-Mobile for over 5 years, including at that very Metro location when it was a corporate store, so I’m very familiar with how the promotions go.
There was an iPhone promo that I was getting for my niece. Of course, I knew she qualified and the phone was $99. Being a previous employee, I opted for insurance on the phone because I'm sensitive to the fact that it’s a metric that’s important to their sale; however, my niece had accessories she was getting elsewhere. I explained this to them upfront. Knowing that the $60 plan was needed for the promo, and with protection at most, it should be $70-$75 for the plan. Adding everything up, $99 + $75 = $174. With taxes, it shouldn’t be more than $200. These are very generous estimates. Yet the total was $280. I went back and forth with them, and he continued to lie and say "it’s the franchise fees". Knowing that I was going to get a receipt to go over the breakdown of the transaction, I continued the purchase and was going to address the issue on the receipt if there was one. But guess what, no receipt. He said that they don’t have receipts but I can take a picture of the total on the screen. THE TOTAL ON THE SCREEN???!! And he also gave us a case and charger saying it’s included. That makes sense on why the total was over the amount it should be. Charging for items to say they're included even when I said we aren't getting any accessories here! I confronted them about it, but he played dumb and of course without a receipt, there is nothing that can be proven. I chose not to give my energy to this any further that day, however, it is on my mind and heart to share. Everyone isn’t in that position financially or mentally to be played with like this.
TO THE FRANCHISE OWNER AND T-MOBILE LIAISON: He let me know that the owner was talking about promoting him to district manager in Virginia. This is how corruption starts, and if the franchise owner thinks he is safe, he should think twice. If he is quick to scam, you are probably a victim in some way too. If you both choose to do nothing about these unethical practice, after having knowledge, you are all in collusion.
Summary: This location chooses unethical practices. They will lie directly in your face and charge you for things that you do not opt to purchase. Even if you are direct with not wanting said items or features.

Do NOT come here. A LOT OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY HERE, and a lot of over charging. And not telling you what you’re actually buying. I’m about of 299$ for things I wasn’t even told I bought, then continuing to charge me for 80$ on an old account I asked to be switched from and an additional 182$ for a new account AND if I want ONLY ONE ACCOUNT WHICH IS WHAT I WANTED FROM THE BEGINNING, it’ll be a 30$ fee. Stealing numbers and porting phones from different companies. Scammers, liars, and cheaters. I beg you, do not come to this store. There’s a girl with multiple pictures on here, she has a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE and could care less if you’ve gotten the help you need or not. She clearly in on the whole scam they got going on. Then another girl, Lynette. They all got something shady going on. Don’t be stupid like me and out 400-500$. Disgusting people.

Please Do Not Go To This Location. My Customer Service there was awful. This young lady tried to over charge me for a phone not to mention how rude and unprofessional she was. I asked her for the number to the corporate office and she said that they didn't have one. Then I asked for her manager's name she said that she was the only employee there. I said who signs your checks she said the owner but I can't give his number out. The worst and most unprofessional service ever!!! She acted like she could care less. Go to another location not this one. They are trying to sell you the most expensive phones and saying that they are out of all of the lower priced ones. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Look at all of their Reviews they all are saying the same things. Over charging and bad customer service.

I just walked in to pay my brothers phone bill which lives in Fort Lauderdale And I was told I could not pay the phone bill unless I have the actual phone. Then I was told to go to my metro to put his number in and pay the bill that way but when I did not know the amount they actually took the number from me to inform me that the bill was $50 and it did not make sense to pay it because there will be another $50 payment in eight days. WHO ASKED YOU! The intention was to pay $200 so he wouldn’t have to worry about his phone bill for a few months but now I’m headed to another Metro because the agent wanted to tell me what to do with my money.. absolutely ridiculous!
