I usually don’t write bad reviews about places, But this is one store. I would never come back to the only person that helped me was miss April. Everyone else was dismissive and rude. I noticed that if you were not African-American you could get assisted quickly but me being a black African-American female not only did I get dismissed almost all of the workers. There were really rude if I could write this place zero stars I would.

Came here since this was the only location in Charlotte that had an item I was looking for and online it said they had 8 in stock. Got there and couldn’t find it. Asked employee for help and she said that they hadn’t put it on the shelf yet and they were too busy to look for it for me. Waste of my time.

Michael's has improved over the years now carrying hard-to-find items and a nice selection (whatever category I happen to be looking at). I would have given 5 Stars but there is often an empty an hook for an item I needed, and darn if I had only looked online to see WHICH location has the item needed - in stock. Lesson learned. PS. I wish they would do on-site classes again. Our closest location only has online classes. Not the same as an in-person instructor.

I like going to Michael's.....but just not a big fan of their check out system where I live. No person to check out with; only self check out stations You can only use CCard and there's always something that those checking out need help . Just saying.

This store is a great location. Tons of merchandise. Coupons & Rewards are also awesome. Self checkouts mostly at the front but customers don’t seem to mind. I had some difficulty and requested help on the screen of the checkout but no one showed up for a few minutes….so when a young woman was done helping someone else I said, please help me. The problem: I just couldn’t use my rewards and what she pressed on the screen helped me.
I recommend Michael’s at Park Rd. It’s a nice store with lots of merchandise.

I ordered two frames from this place, but one of them was unavailable because it was out of stock. However, when I placed the order, the website did not indicate that it was out of stock. I'm not impressed, as they should have kept their inventory updated on the website.

I visit this Michaels a lot for their framing desk and it's very nice. They get things done in a timely manner and have done rush jobs during the holiday season for me in the past. My one complaint is that they once gave me a frame with a smudge on the mat but that was only once and they redid it.

I looked up an item online for a price which was good only to buy that same product in the store for a much higher price because the price wasn't changed and the staff wasn't helpful I wasn't given the price online. I will not buy anything that's posted on sale online anymore.

This is my closest Michaels so it gets three stars for being a Michaels that is within 2 mi of me. However, the last few years has not been kind to this store and it feels like chaos post covid.
I mainly go here for yarn or other fiber arts; their embroidery floss section has never let me down, but their yarn section is a total hit or miss. I have gone several times where multiple entire sections of yarn were empty. Add how small, messy and disorganized it all is if you are looking to go here for specific yarn in mind, I would go somewhere else.
They also exchanged all but one register to self-checkout. Which I like a self-checkout option, but it just feels like the store has cut a lot of corners by not hiring as much staff and it's really hurting the store.

Most staff seem uninterested, which is fine by me and I can shop in peace without being asked if I need help. When I did need help, the associate was quick to point me to the exact aisle number. ALWAYS check Michaels.com before you checkout, though! 90% of the time, there's an in-store coupon available that's even scan-able on your phone from self check-out. Great bead selection. Easy to steal from (or so I've been told).

Really mice halloween decorations. Bought a black halloween tree 15 years ago and rarely found ornaments for it. Now Micheals carrying sets that are adorable. But hey- if you carry the ornaments you should carry hooks too. They’re not for Christmas anymore! We went on a search for lights( Black Hawk had great assortment) then went to two other stores for hooks. This the for out of five stars.
