I love crafting, and Michael's supports my hobby rather well. I just wish that instead of a coupon system, they would implement lower prices.
My favorite tip for Michael's is to wait for the end of a holiday to find the best deals for cute items you can use next year. And I always wait for buy one frame get one 50% off deals.

Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable. Some craft stores the employees act like they are bothered by you being there. Not at this store! Every person I interacted with was amazing.

I had a VERY simple framing job that needed to be done. I chose Michaels due to proximity and convenience. NEVER AGAIN will I darken the door of ANY Michaels!
Here was the simple request:
1) I took in a framed print, asked for them to replace the existing print with a new print (which I provided) and switch out the glass to UV protected glass. How hard can that be?
Took them 3 tries and it’s still not right.
Try #1: Michaels took it upon themselves to disassemble my frame (my frame is two frames nested- so they decided to break them apart.) Michael’s put the new print in one frame and kept the original print in the other frame. I. WAS. MORTIFIED.
Try #2: Reassembled both frames with the original print - basically, gave it back to me like I had given to them, after spending $100.
Try #3: Switched out the print - it still isn’t to my satisfaction - but I’ll be darned if I will trust them to try any more.
I WILL find a framer who can do this right, it will cost me more time and energy, but I REFUSE to allow Michaels to work on anything else of mine ever again. It’s a shame, I’ve just moved into a brand new house and have LOTS of framing to be done. Social Media, you know what to do. How has Michael's messed up your work?
Oh! Michaels refused to provide any type of credit for the pain and aggravation they caused — 3 times and they still didn’t get it right.
