Deceptive mileage charges and cost estimations DOUBLED the estimated cost of my rental.For one-way rentals, National sadly changed UNLIMITED mileage on corporate promotion codes to ZERO miles.Presented a price of $288 for the rental, changed me ~$550. Which at that point I would have flown my wife and I to see our family for Thanksgiving and saved myself 8 hours of driving.At minimum in the cost estimation of the rental, they could estimate the cost per mile between the two rental offices, but they know that would stifle profits. So they’re electing to be the Spirit Airlines of rental cars. Presenting deceptively low prices upfront, and gashing customers with absorbent fees once it’s too late.Sure, I could have combed thru a rental agreement that I’ve seen 50 times from National, but I didn’t because it’s always been unlimited. And I won’t put my hand on that burner twice.

After paying for a 14 day rental, I returned my car to a different airport not even two hours away from the original rental location. I was charged an extra $3,000 dollars. I can’t say I will use national again, it is beyond ridiculous.

National made renting the car SO simple! I reserved the car on the app, and pickup was SUPER easy! It really mattered to me, because my flight (redeye) was already delayed by 2 hours and I was operating on very little sleep!I walked up, was told to pick a car from the specific lane, checkout was simple and just drive off! I will never use another rental car company!Thanks for being SO awesome!

I am a loyal customer of National Car Rental; in recent years (Covid and post-Covid), the lines at airports have been crazy - being an Emerald member has put all of us "members" back to a time when customer service was key, and king - with National Car Rental, that still exists. Never a hassle, fast check out at the booth/gate, and on my way to my business appointments. I cannot think of my time on the road if there were not companies like National Car Rental there. Thank you National Car Rental, keep on doing what you do best - Service!

I have always loved National and typically had great cars and great service. Price sometimes keeps me away. I like having a selection to choose from. Some airports are better than others. I got a great price last week in Charlotte. When I went to pick up car in Charlotte last week the staff was rather unattentive and dismissive when I walked up. I just had regular Emerald, nothing fancy, so I guess I was important enough to be helpful to. They were not busy. There was no one else. It seems when you are in consumer services and hospitality, you would be more helpful. The staff usually is.

2023 4:40am...I had a reservation. Girl on counter very rude would not provide name. Manager Fabrice on duty was very rude about getting a car and would not allow me to pick up a car even though I had a confirmed reservation and over 30 cars right in front of us. I am executive elite and have spent so much money at National to be treated this way. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THEM AGAIN AND I AM LETTING OUR COMPANY THAT HAS OVER 100K EMPLOYEES KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.

Great experience with National! Prices were much better than other rental agencies. Pickup and drop off were very easy. Both gentlemen that were at the drop off were very friendly and helpful. I know one of them was named Matt, but I didn't catch the other guy's name. Will definitely choose them again for our next vacation.

Recently used National Car Rental for a trip to Charlotte NC. When we arrived at the general Rental Car area at the airport there were extremely long lines for most of their competitors. Travelling with a toddler it felt like we avoided a disaster by picking National.My family and I walked straight to the parking area, to emerald aisle, picked our car and left. It was seamless. And by the way, if for some reason I needed to speak to customer service, there was no line at National.From this trip alone I know which rental agencies I will never ever use in the future. I'll be sticking with National. We returned our car at another airport and the process was quick and easy.PS - my parents used a competitor to National on the same trip but a different airport. They had to wait 1.5 hours to get their car.

Disappointing that National in Buffalo does not have after hours pickup. My plain was 30 minutes late and no system available to get car, had to spend $120 on Ubers to get to hotel and back the next morning. I called in advance when plan was delayed, no answer several times at Buffalo rental car location and National reservations member just stated I would be out of luck because they close at 11:59 sharp and I would have to be there by 11:54. Well they get two stars because when they are there they are very courteous. Otherwise overall National has been very good

Picking Up my car was so easy!We had a family emergency and came into Charlotte airport to drop-off the car. I was so flustered, I had to go around 4 times before I actually found the right place to take the car, and when I pulled up I realized that I had forgotten to fuel up the car before returning it. Julianne was very sympathetic and helpful to our situation and got us on our way as quickly as possible! Can't thank you enough!!!!

I travel quite a bit and switched from another rental car agency due to several issues. No real issues with the National here and I have been here almost every week for a year. Everything is seamless and smooth, in and out very quickly and they remind me every time to leave the key.Fantastic group, and I am happy to continue bringing my business here.

Charlotte Airport National Car RentalWas very quick and efficient. The agent was pleasant and professional. The only problem we had was the car we got, a Nissan Rogue, had a loud, high pitched whine coming from the engine somewhere between 50-60 mph. The sound lessened once we passed 60. Not sure if this common to Rogues, but it was a little disconcerting. Other than that the car performed just fine. Gave 4 stars due to the car problem.

My recent experience with National Car Rental was excellent. From the moment I approached the counter at CLT to the time when I returned the car, I felt very well taken care off; ouststanding customer service. I loved the choices of cars at my disposal, and the ease with wich I picked one and left the rental facilities. Returning the car was just as easy. You got my loyalty!

I recently missed my connection in Charlotte as I was heading home to Charleston, SC from a business trip. Instead of waiting five hours for the next flight, I hopped onto my National Rental Car app, reserved a car, and arrived at the Charleston airport less than three hours later. National makes it easier and quicker than any other rental car company I’ve used over my 35 year career, and I’ve used all of the big companies. It does help that I have a membership in their executive select program, but I’m in that program because of my loyalty to National’s fine service.

All of the reps I have dealt with were great. The manager (I think Jeffrey) was easily accessible and ready to help. The lady at the counter (I think her name was Sam) was awesome! They all told their names which is nice I have just forgotten since then! Highly recommend!
