Old Time Pottery is closing. I really did love this place. Whatever I couldn't find in other stores I found there. Now closing because complex management doesn't want to do upgrades to the building. So sad. I will say I found a $197. Worth of stuff. I really didn't need right now but next year I will at reasonable price.

Some of the merchandise is only 10% off, especially the Christmas stuff. Most everything else is at least 20% off. The biggest problem is that half the lights are out in the store. According to the staff, they are burned out and will not be replaced. In some sections of the store, you need to bring a flashlight to see what is there.

my best friend & I drove nearly an hour yesterday, from a neighboring county, to spend the whole day in Charlotte shopping for autumn decor & items for our Thanksgiving tables … we didn’t have a shopping list, as the point was to enjoy the shopping experience together & hopefully be inspired & get some ideas … as we walked toward the entrance to Old Time Pottery, I turned to her & said, “Yay, let’s just take our time & look at EVERYTHING” … then, we stepped through the doors & to our surprise, could not look at ANYTHING because at least 2/3 of the overhead lights were out!! … we assumed it was some sort of temporary power outage, so I peered into the dim check-out area to locate a clerk … I approached & asked her if there was an estimate for when the power would be restored, & she casually said that she had no idea when the lights would be fixed but that we could still shop there … right, except before I purchase an item, any item, I usually like to LOOK AT IT … there were no signs posted, no intercom announcing any updates or explanations, just confused customers walking in & stopping short to encounter a dark warehouse … we then asked another nearby worker what was going on, & she too said they were waiting to contract with a service provider to fix the lighting & hadn’t had any recent updates on any kind of timeline … then, before leaving & taking my business elsewhere, I checked the online reviews for this location & discovered that the lights have been out for at least FOUR MONTHS, but the store has remained open!! … was this Candid Camera? … have consumer standards really lowered to such a degree that people are willing to stumble around in a giant warehouse with next to no lighting & still spend money there? … truly, it looked like “emergency” lighting, & that was all … furthermore, how can this not be a MAJOR safety issue?? … this store location should be closed unless & until the lights are restored! … how very insulting to the customer that a business could ignore such basics & assume we’ll all just accept it, no questions asked, & act like it’s no big deal … & I also called the 1-800 customer service line for the company at least 8 times yesterday AND today, only to be automatically put on hold & then have my call be sent to some random “answering service” voicemail box … what a joke … really a shame, as I’ve been known to spend 3+ hours shopping in there before …

Worst service ever. Two cashiers at the front one too busy on her phone to pay attention to what her job was to do the other cashier tossing breakable items in a bag and when confronted stated they won't break!!! Management needs to watch back the footage from around 12:11pm today! Neither person at the register seemed interested in being there and being friendly with the customers!

Went in here with the hubby and Gabrielle was extremely disrespectful and rude. Not only that as my husband went to pay she moved his hand and signed it herself. I’m not ok with that and the husband was really not happy. That is not ok. You do not need to be moving hands, pressing buttons and then doing a line as the signature. We sign our names not do a line. So next time stay in your lane and leave the pin pad to the actual customer paying, not you! Thank you!

Me and my mother walked in today for the first time after seeing a Facebook post about the amazing Halloween decor. We made the hour and a half drive to walk in and almost all of the lights were off. We found the cutest Halloween GLASS pumpkins and GLASS skeleton heads. We get up to the register going to check out and me and my mother pay separately. As the young lady was scanning my items she was putting all of my glass items together in a bag and basically letting them fall on the counter. I look to my right on the counter and there is clearly paper to protect the GLASS but she throws them in my bag anyway. Once I go to pay for my items the young lady had a very rude attitude and says “put your card in!, hit this button!, hit it again! Now sign and take it out!”, once I grabbed my things and I go to move out of the way she shouts HERE! to hand me my receipt. Now my mother goes up and she got 2 glass skeleton heads the lady throws them in the bag (thank god they didn’t break) and says the same thing I listed above with paying with a card. It was very hot in the building as well, no AC was running (at least it didn’t feel that way). Needless to say our first time experience here was not the best and not sure if we will be back.

Wouldn’t match a price or an item they had on sale at another location. $10 was the only difference and couldn’t honor that price.
