We have dealt with Pikes in the past as they have knowledgeable employees. However that stops as of today. We purchased several mums there and one never flowered. My wife took it back and they said that they didn’t warranty mums. That wasn’t the worst of it; the woman had a very bad attitude. We could have purchased the mums elsewhere for less money and less attitude. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Pike Nursery (Ballantyne) is above in quality, variety and most of all customer service! My appreciation list is long and I'm blessed to have the pleasure of chatting with Lao and Pat! I wanted a particular plant (won't say name because I'm selfish). Lao searched then called when plant arrived and it arrived beau-tee-full! It took knowing my husband was on my shoulder not to purchase another! The customer service far exceeds by providing recommendations and plant care advice! The house plants are taken care of like spoiled and beautiful children! They are my favorite forever!!! Kudos and hugs to Lao and Pat!

Didn’t buy nothing here, I fell asleep in my car with the car on without knowing, asked for jumper cables and all the employees were all so cool and friendly. Will came with the cables and helped me. Give em a raise !

A friend and I went to Pike's Ballantyne yesterday and it is a beautiful store with lots of gorgeous products. it was a Thursday and only about 4 customers (including us) in the store shopping. I saw about 8 employees over the course of the visit and only 2 of them were nice. The others were so incredibly rude when we asked any question whatsoever. Both a hispanic female and a young man were nice. All the others were rude. One even scowled when I asked where I could find their geraniums and barely answered me, said they "should be over there" and vaguely gestured over to another side of the store. I never found them. For the prices they charge they should at least provide friendly service, especially when they have no one in the store. I can't imagine how rude they are when they have lots of customers to service. The checkout girl was very rude also. Terrible experience. My friend and I didn't comment to one another while in the store but once we got in the car, he felt just as I did. He is the nicest, kindest person and never criticizes anyone, yet he couldn't believe how rude they were. Amazing. I was shocked that almost every employee was rude. Made me never want to shop there. Was intimidating and makes you scared to inquire about anything.

They have a great warranty on their trees and shrubs, if they die, you bring them back and they mysteriously can’t find the purchase, even though they can look up your name by account. Luckily other places like Site one and Wilson’s nursery sell these same items, and I never have a problem there.

Emily was so amazing and so helpful. However, watch out the judgmental rich entitled people who think they are better than everyone else. Place is great the people in the area not so much!!!

Overall I had a good experience. There were people that helped me with my plant selections, Jim in particular. The place is a little pricy but they had some of the plants I wanted. My only complaint is the young medium haired brunette girl at the register was rude and had an attitude like she was mad she had to work. The other girl with the blonder curly hair is always much nicer. I almost wanted to ask to switch me to the curly blonde haired girl bc the straight brunette haired had such a nasty attitude. I was there Sunday the 7th around 6pm.

Pike Nurseries has a beautiful selection of all things landscape including flowers, shrubs, yard art, and most recently, they added real Christmas trees in the back! Walk through the double doors at the back of the store, and you're immediately hit in the face with the glorious fragrance of evergreen trees, LOVE! Inside you'll find everything from bird feeders to home decor to furniture and door mats. They even have a pet supplies corner. I enjoyed browsing the shelves but beware - their prices are quite high. I am looking forward to checking out their flower selection in the spring! Will report back.

Recently worked with Hayden at Pike Ballantyne to select trees for our backyard. He was very knowledgeable, listened to what we wanted, and helped to create a beautiful landscape design. Installers Will and Matthew ensured the trees were planted perfectly and the results are stunning. Pike never disappoints - the trees and plants are high quality, and the customer service is outstanding.
