The worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership. We worked with the internet sales manager for a week about a particular car we were interested in. We are from Virginia and were making arrangements to travel to Charlotte to purchase the car. We were willing to put down a deposit and have my mom who lives in Charlotte go and test drive the car ahead of our arrival. On our way to the dealership (4.5 hour drive), we called to let them know we were an hour away. They said they would pull the car up and have it ready for us to test drive when we arrive. They called us back and told us that they had actually sold the car a week ago. Instead of being honest with us and saving us from driving to Charlotte, they lied to us just so they could get us in the door to sell us a different, lower-equipped vehicle. Poor service. Poor follow up. Dishonest. Take my advice and take your business elsewhere.

From my own personal experience, I can't recommend Capital Ford. My car was towed to Capital for a diagnostic and repairs, but the issues weren't identified until I took it to another Ford dealership in the area. Before I took it to the second dealership, I was brushed off when I returned because the check engine light came on after the original visit. The communication between the service manager, the service advisor, and myself left a lot to be desired. I left paying a huge amount of money and feeling like I was given bad information about my car, and overall under-valued as customer.

Horrible experience after trying to buy a car from them. I contacted them about a lightly used Mazda and after some back and forth via email I sent them a very reasonable offer saying I would pick it up that day if they agreed to it. The manager replied by saying "I will not lose your business over a few dollars," which, to me, sounds like a soft agreement. I called the dealership to confirm the price and they informed me that there are other interested customers and that they would not honor that price. I am glad I called before driving up there as I am almost 3 hours away. I understand they are running a business and will probably find someone who is willing to pay exactly what they are asking, but that does not make their sales tactics any less dishonest. It felt like a bait-and-switch, plain and simple. I'm sure they will sell the Mazda, but they will not be receiving my business as there are other dealerships in my area that are much more honest and upfront about their pricing.

If you plan on buying a car from this dealership don't buy anything from them unless it is a Ford. We bought a Hyundai they pushed and pushed to get us to buy the extended warranty, and after bugging the heck out of us we finally gave in. They did not bother to tell us that the original manufacturer warranty was not transferable and the drive train was only good up to 60,000 miles and not 100,000 miles. Also there was no spare tire in the car so we have to wait for them to order one which is ridiculous now I'm afraid to go anywhere because I'm afraid if I have a flat tire I do not have a spare. We tried to cancel the warranty when we went back to find out about the spare tire and they said they could not refund us, it would be applied to our loan which is total BS they are nothing but a bunch of crooks and be careful if you even consider buying a car from them.

Exercise Caution at this place and be WARNED about the reviews found on Google...READ this statement! Found 3 vehicles of interest on website; went to dealership and asked about my first choice, Pre-owned Trailblazer. Vehicle had been on their lot almost 2 months and was never cleaned. Filthy. Disgustingly dirty inside and outside. Baaad first impression and didn't even bother looking into the other 2 cars because of it.. Stephan was a delight, but too "scripted" and I got bored quickly with the up and down to go visit the sales manager (another useless entity locked in an office that only came out when I walked out) who decided to try and slip in an UPSELL of "VIP PROTECTION PACKAGE" for $998.00. LOLOL! Be aware of the nonsense "Documentation Fee" the state allows dealerships to collect, which is nothing more than padded profit. Theirs was on the worksheet as $799.00!! Go to Fort Mill Ford in SC and pay about $550 OR better yet, stick with a Hendrick-owned dealership and get a more dignified, honest, clean experience and still pay less! And they WONT tack on extras you didn't ask for hoping you'll fall for it. Seedy place and transparently so for those wise enough to recognize. In fairness, however, the salespeople are friendly, but they're under the instruction of Big Brother. Not their fault...but two stars it is! I could also do without the Steve guy that I referred to as the Wandering Charmer who was anything but; I'd venture to guess they wouldn't pull this crap if a man was with me. I take offense to "hired help" as he called himself that feels the need to approach me and say, "I heard you were sweet. Are you having a nice experience here?" So I told him the ladies room had no paper towels, the soap was empty, and the toilet paper was completely out in the handicap stall! So since he was so curious about my experience, I hope he got my concerns addressed! We talked a little football and he rolled along. Not ONE uninvited employee/visitor to the table even offered me a bottle of water...this place just misses the mark all around. I had wasted enough time but as is customary with "salesperson 101 training," Stephan asked me to do a Google review while I was sitting there and had time. I was not clicking off 5 stars and writing a half sentence to appease him, and I was all done with my time there. But I do know it can be awkward for some while the salesman is staring at you waiting for you to take out your phone and comply. I wasn't that person, and here we are. So if you look at many of the reviews, ESPECIALLY under "newest" ones in Google...you will see that partners or husband and wives were sitting at the round table and submitting separate inputs. Why? Because there's a bonus in it for the salesperson and I am told they're based on the Google Reviews. LOL. It also drives up the Google rating. My mission here was to inform of my first and last visit to this place....I chose a more dignified route and I'm not only thrilled with my new car, but two of my colleagues will be visiting my saleswoman this week as they're in the market also. Word of mouth, very powerful! Again, Stephan is a gem, and Lenny was incredibly nice also.

Worst customer service experience in 15 years of buying Ford vehicles. I have had the most nightmarish experience with Capital Ford of Charlotte. I would not and could not ethically recommend this dealer/service center to anyone. My vehicle has been in the shop here for the past 6 months. Ford has continually promised the fix was just a few days/weeks away until they had a large turnover event and had to back-fill a portion of their staff. Now the story has changed and my vehicle is in a state of TBD with parts back-ordered indefinable. Additionally, I have caught them in lies. Stating my vehicle was being worked on and I would drive by and see the truck parked outside... not being worked on. They have provided 0 customer service(in reality negative customer service) and told me there is nothing they can do for me outside of leaving me vehicle-less and telling my insurer the parts are just a few days away from having an ETA(which they have been saying for two months now). The fact that they are waiting on their own parts but cannot provide me a service vehicle is INSANE, the reason for doing so is even more insane... "we cannot provide a loaner vehicle as the parts are back-ordered for the foreseeable future and if we gave you a loaner when we be doing so without the knowledge of when we would get that vehicle back or how long you might have it" My insurance company, who is paying for the repairs, has stated to me that estimated repair time frame should have been about ~1 month job and the level of incompetence that capital ford of Charlotte is showing is at an all time high. Their inability to adequately staff and source replacement parts is the single reason my car is not repaired. I have again been without a vehicle for 6 months, and Ford has 0 idea when they will resolve this issue. They continue to tell my insurer they can fix this vehicle but have no timeline or plan to do so, even the technician state that the parts we are waiting on probably won't fix this vehicle. Learn from my mistakes, do not take your vehicle here for service. Do not buy a vehicle from here.

Just to preface this, I have been in the automotive industry for 37 years dealing with almost every dealership in the Charlotte North Carolina area including this one. So I came to capital Ford after being contacted by them to buy my 2015 Mini Cooper with the instant cash offer from Kelley blue book. I knew I'd be spending a little bit of time there waiting for them to do their thing. After about 20 minutes or so, I could see the guy check out the car, get in it, go test drive it and then come back all within about 10 minutes. Ultimately after almost 2 hours of waiting to see how much they were actually gonna give me for my car, the finance guy comes out with paperwork for me to buy a vehicle from them. But that's not why I came. With the Kelley blue book instant cash offer at $11,934, I figured their offer would be close but slightly lower. They offered to pay off what I owed ($9170) on my car to a new purchase. I told him I wasn't there to purchase a vehicle, just to sell mine. That's a big difference between what I owed and what was offered. So ultimately their agenda is to get you in there, distract you, get you to buy something from them regardless of why you are there. Super shady business.

Salesmen we're careless and unknowledgeable. Selection was scarce. Overcharging like crazy for what you're getting. Definitely not buying our new car here. They had homeless guys sitting in the showroom smelling up the place as they talked to themselves bothering real customers and wouldn't ask them to leave. Place is a dump.

We were in the market for a vehicle and after a bad experience elsewhere we came to Capital Ford. No appointment, just browsing, had a vehicle in mind and wanted to check it out. We did get passed around to a few salesmen but knew it was because we needed the right one to take care of us. Eli helped us out, truly listened to us and took our concerns seriously. He didn't blow us off because he had some preconceived ideas and worked with us. @Ken Allen considered all the details and didn't pressure us or use any extreme sales tactics. It was truly refreshing and the best car buying experience we've ever had. Both Eli and Ken stayed well past closing to make sure we were satisfied and happy. No shortcuts were taken and we signed the dotted line. The best car buying experience hands down.

My husband Clyde & myself were in the market for a new used vehicle. Do to the fact that my Chrysler 300 was in a car accident & it was a total loss . We visited a couple other dealerships, but no one really had what we were looking for. We decided to go to Capital Ford. Richard Longenecker introduced himself to my husband & myself. There were only a few SUV's available do to the chip shortage. Richard walked the lot to show us what they had available. He was very knowledgeable about the SUV's (Might I add this was a very hot & humid day) Even with the sun beaming down on Richard he went back & forth to get keys. We found a SUV we loved, 2020 Ford Expedition Platinum!!! Richard took us on the inside & then we met THE BEST FINANCE MANAGER Capital Ford has to offer! Mr. Ken Allen told us what our options were & what we needed to do. We did not purchase on that day. The weekend came, We stopped in to check on our status. We left without the SUV that day as well. Mr. Ken Allen gave me some words of Faith. (He told me that suv is yours, you have to have Faith!) & on that Lucky Monday! Mr. Ken called & told me we were APPROVED!!!! Richard Longenecker took us out for a test drive. All the features & etc he demonstrated & showed us how it worked Richard had great conversation. Btw he is a new proud Dad of a little girl.... Richard is an awesome salesman, not pushy at all. He will see the deal through, Richard likes to make his customers happy. Thank you Richard for being our salesman. Mr. Ken went above & beyond his job, to make it possible! #1 thing he cared about our credit!! Mr. Ken is a real down to earth guy, he made the process easy breezy. Capital Ford is the way to go! #GetuAFord #FordTough #FriendlyStaff #GreatSalesRep #GreatFinanceMgr #HappyCustomer2021 #Ford

My first Ford Escape (purchased elsewhere) was totaled recently after me only owning it for about 9 months. I was so impressed with how the vehicle held up during the collision so I decided to look for another Escape. I finally found one with Capital Ford that met all the specifications I was looking for. Tim, my sales representative, was patient and transparent the entire time. I had many questions since I did purchase a Buyback vehicle, Tim provided exceptional customer service the entire time! Matt, the finance manager, was also very down to earth and made me forget about all the stress that comes with buying a vehicle. If you're looking to purchase a vehicle, come here and ask for Tim! Can't say enough great things about this team.

Horrible. Went to look at a car. Already approved through my own bank Then they told us they do not allow you to buy from them unless you do all of your financing through them. We would have purchased a car today and they lost a sale only bc we had our own financing

I drove 2 hours for a appointment I had with Billy the salesmen who help me was really nice and knowledgeable. He help me get a car that was in my price range he was also very straightforward and didn't make any promises. Id definitely recommend talking to him if your looking for a car. Now I would give 4 stars if I wasn't told by the financial advisor that I could put $3,000 down, just to be told I needed $1000 more which I wasn't completely comfortable with putting down for a car but I dove 2 hours and wasn't walking off the lot without a car so other then that everything was simple & fast.

Warning if you are planning to purchase a used car from these guys, You must check the CARFAX as they sell a lot of LEMON FACTORY BUYBACKS. These cars were turned in as lemons and bought back to the factory. Big problems when you take this chance! Dont say I didnt warn you
