The person that answers the phone at night has a nasty attitude. It’s like she doesn’t want anyone to call and I did not get her name because she hung up on me after I told her she needs to be more nicer and compassionate if taking calls at a homeless shelter !

Whoever answered the phone needs to be more professional and less ghetto.

I went there for help and ended being put out without reason. Staff are very ghetto and unprofessional. They have bed bugs and roaches. they place any and everyone in rooms with each other and that causes fights and arguments with the girls. If you go there, make sure you depend on your self because they don't care at all. Just being honest.

When I stayed at this shelter a while back it was the most horrifying and stressful and horrific experience I have ever had .The staff were so rude and mean .they always acted like they were better than us. They treated us like dirt .they had attitudes so negative toward us. Kids were being physically and emotionally abused by their mothers. The conditions in the bathrooms and floors were horrendous and dangerous someone could of been seriously hurt. This place took a toll on my mental health they made my situation worse .I wish I would of called the news at the time and taken pictures of the inside cause it was so bad .they needed to be investigated and shut down!. They never helped me when I was there. I don't know why they think that was okay and how didn't no one intervene. Is so disturbing how they can get away with treating people this way. Very inhumane and evil how they treated us.

It's not ideal but it's a safe place to stay.3 meals a day and a good place to gather your thoughts . The people that work here are good for helping you out . God works in mysterious ways but you know that you are here for a reason. Think about why you are here and ask your father to help you see the reasons of your being here.

**PLEASE READ12/4/22**Family in crisis, but salvation army allowing it to happen!!!**PLEASE HELP**New to Charlotte was seeking housing got help from the Salvation Army fleeing DV. I was assigned a worker who found a house before I was approved from the many I had already applied for. Saw the place was just moved out of 3br 2br single very dirty walls, floors, carpet, one rm smelled of urine. Items were still on the lawn from prior tenant. Understanding and promissed it would be cleaned by landlord and worker. Unfortunately it had been almost a yr by now because Covid hit made things harder than ever, never being homeless before we were excited that we could have a home again for the holidays. So it was very rushed to do paperwork for funding home, utilities being set up prior to moving in and seeing the unit again i expressed this to worker and landlord. I was reassured once it (passed) inspection which was needed prior to moving in reassured we were moving in a safe environment. Finally get keys a week and a half later. 11/23/20. Home was not clean! I reached out informed my worker and sent her a list of things needed like locks not sticks in sliding doors, room urine smell, dirty stained walls, weather strips on doors were showing daylight. Items were fixed but didn't but didn't solve issues. Greatful to have a home my land lord agreed to pay me for the clean up and if i painted or found someone to do so he would take care of it! By the end of Dec. I had horrible breathing and debilitating headaches and several ER visits was never able to paint!!! Few days after Xmas I had the worst headache and hurried to the ER yet again. Denying medicine I wanted answers of the sudden onset. Fought for the MRI that night and got horrible results, I now have IIH (idoic intracranial hypertension) fluid build up on my brain. Causing blurred vision. To Be Continued.... READ NEXT REVIEW
