Initially, I thought this place was great. I brought my soon to be 14 yr old Maggie (Yorkie Dachshund mix) for an annual. had to board her as I had to attend an out of town family funeral. I'd requested anxiety meds as Maggie was over the top. Dr. Everidge agreed re: her anxiety. She prescribed trazodone 50mg (1/2 every 12 hrs.). When I picked up Maggie 1/2 of what was prescribed had not been given to her. I let it go. The day after as I walked Maggie, she was having difficulty and appeared limited. The next night she threw up 3 x w/ blood in the last vomit. I spoke to Dr. Everidge & she offered to see her. I asked if perhaps Maggie had possibly had an unintentional injury while boarded. Dr. Everidge immediately became defensive & said no. She kept repeating that. She dismissed my concern re: the lack of giving Maggie her meds. Going through chemo / radiation myself, I told her I'd monitor and see how she does for a few hours. Bland diet was successful w/ no more issues. She has not been the same since we got home both physically as well as her behavior. My heart of hearts feel something happened. I know my dog.

We've been coming to SCAH for 2 years after our son and daughter told us of the great experiences they have had here with their 3 dogs. I never feel rushed, and haven't had long waits either. If my dog needs to be seen, they make room for us or refer us somewhere immediately. We have a happy Boxer, Shepsky, and 2 Goldens between us, with the support and care we get at Steele Creek.

My wife, pups, and myself love Steele Creek. We have been using Steele Creek for over 2 years and have been nothing but happy with our experience. It may not be the least expensive vet, but when we have had to use other vets for our fostering they have always stepped up and helped us. I would highly recommend Steele Creek and will continue to bring our pups there.

Bowie and I appreciate how everyone makes sure that he is comfortable and has a successful visit! Vet visits are difficult for my reactive boy but Dr Young and all of the techs are so good with him!! In this pic he’s relaxing before his exam.

Very disappointed in the Customer Service here lately. Been taking my pets here for over 20 years. The last 2 or 3 times i have needed them, or had an appointment, i have encountered rude, mindless service. My dog was very sick recently, and they would not even make time to see her. I am sorry but there is no excuse for this.

Had urgent problem with my BABY. Steel Creek got her in the same day. They did tests- had answers to those test after waiting about 45 minutes. The doctor there very helpful. She referred me to Emergency Hospital - Only because BABY needed IV over night & they did not have anyone on duty over night. She called -talked with doctor at emergency care so they would know what was going on. Emergency care kept her 24 hours. Got her home - all is going well now. (hope it stays that way. I have been taking my animals to Steel Creek since Dr. Young started it - if I remembering correctly - that was 1986/1987. I drove 40 miles 1 way to this hospital because I know these doctors know how to treat our pets and care for them as their own. I passed 3 clinics on the way there since I have moved farther away but I will make this trip every time. I trust their care! 10 star rating everytime
