I love having this small store for a variety of vegan options in the neighborhood. TVP, soy curls, snacks, vegan “jello”, protein bars, “beef” jerky, etc. love it.

Love coming here! The owner is so friendly! If you are a vegan and looking for more specialty items, like vegan marshmallow cream and vegan candy bars (similar to Twix ?), you'll find them here.

Have been wanting to go here for a while. Lee was so welcoming and had great product recommendations even having some samples. I also love business that incorporate the idea of sustainability in there products. Will definitely be back again ?

❤️ this is a wonderful little shop with a great vegan selection. I love to come here for a little treat and some general groceries. I’ve been here several times and have had nothing but a positive experience.

Lee was so kind and welcoming when I entered the store for the first time. I had known of this place for a couple of years and had only been to the stand they set up at veg fest every year, but my first time coming to the actual store wasn’t until last week when they still had Halloween candy available. I don’t live nearby, but when I was in the area, I knew I had to treat myself after such a stressful week and had seen their update about Halloween candy available on Instagram. If you’re looking for some specialty foods or some popular vegan snacks/candy, definitely come here. Lee was so pleasant to talk to and let me know what else they do other than sell vegan goodies. I had no idea that they also sell used books, so I’ll definitely be back at some point to look at what they have! They also have some sweet kitties that hang around. So, if you’re looking for vegan specialty or food items or want to check out the books they have, this is definitely a local spot to check out and support! I wish I lived closer by, but I know I’ll be back at some point. Thank you Lee for being so kind and making my day better.

Quaint bookstore with very few health food items/products. Not what I'd call a health food store. Could've driven some other place hadn't the description been misleading.

After reading Cynthia Douglas comment and a few other negative comments. I decided not to shop here. I cannot spend money at a place where the owner make certain customers feel uncomfortable or unwanted. Do better!

Highly disappointed in the customer service here and teeter tottering if I will return. I have heard many great things about Booda Butter deodorant and was told that it was sold here as well as many other clean products and organic & vegan dry foods. I walked in around 6:15pm and the store closes at 7pm. My mission was the deodorant which I did not see right a way, but I saw other products of interest that I put in my basket. I asked Lee (your picture is on your website) working if they had the deodorant in stock, she said yes, but she couldn’t get it for me because they had an event they were setting up for that started at 7pm. I could see that she seemed rather frazzled, however at this point it’s not even 6:30pm. I asked if she could just move one of the book cases on wheels that the deodorant was on and she said she no she couldn’t because they have to set up. I began putting the other products I had in my basket back in their designated places on the shelves and she then had an older gentleman working there move one of the bookshelves just enough that I could grab the deodorant. Yes, in the end I was able to get the deodorant, but I felt super uncomfortable after leaving there and quite upset. I would understand if I was asking to have them move a wheeled bookcase 10 minutes till their event at 7pm, but after leaving I was already a mile down the road in my car by 6:31pm. In my career, I am a pro at customer service and this experience was extremely odd, uncomfortable, and quite frankly unacceptable.

My husband and I got so much snacks, so many things that aren’t available in other places. The woman helping us today was informative and very kind. Highly recommend to book lovers and people who enjoy vegan food. Support Local!!

Best place in charlotte. Lee is the one of the kindest helpful person you will meet. Greener apple is part of Book Buyers and family owned. Support this local used book store as well as get some INCREDIBLE vegan sweets, ingredients, toys, beauty, you name it! The new location is prime for other neighbor businesses with vegan prepared food as well as barts mart next door. Couldn't get better then this.

I was so excited to find an awesome low waste and eco-friendly store while passing through Charlotte. The Greener Apple has many affordable Eco-friendly items to help you waste less and be more mindful about consumption. I found some awesome silicone bowl covers, laundry detergent strips, and a few grocery items that are harder to find (low sodium better than bouillon vegetable bouillon, and hazelnut cacao butter). We enjoyed looking through the used bookstore, but we wish we had more time! It was quite an extensive collection! They also have have a ton of reusable tote bags, some of which would make an excellent reusable gift bag or a library/bookstore bag to carry books.
