Rooms: Rooms are beautiful.Food & drinks: The Fifth Fork Restaurant has a top-notch chef and an on point grill master! Knows how to prepare a good steak. It was very well seasoned.

The team at the Charlotte location went ABOVE and beyond for us. We missed our connecting flight to Jamaica and ended up stuck for a full day in Charlotte. Their team took amazing care of us and even gifted us some water bottles to take with us on our trip! They felt our stress and did everything to alleviate it. Truly a Ritz experience through and throughRooms: Very nice roomsWalkability: Near to restaurants and barsFood & drinks: Amazing service

The service at the spa is emabaressing for this brand. It was as if we were bothering them at every turn. The food is subpar and we had to wait 90 minutes for it at a time that was not busy. Drink service was just as bad, and they did nothing to make it right. Ballantyne spa is MUCH better.

Waited for over 2 hours for lunch at the spa only to get an apology that was subpar to say the least.

Came to get drink right before the bar closed and the bartender was super cool about it. Gave me a surprisingly good Manhattan and my wife Loved her Gin based cocktail. They had an impressive Bourbon selection and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the selection, which one goes best in what drink etc.We had great conversation while enjoying our drinks. The perfect ending to a great night, can't wait to come come back.Food & drinks: Excellent Bourbon selection

The rooms are very dark, and the light switches are nowhere to be found. The turn down service took my 300-dollar Sonicare elite toothbrush from my travel backpack.I do not care for thieves. The front desk did not alert us there would be a turn down service at check-in; nor did they give use the option of turning down the turn down service. My wife and I stayed one night to visit family and to see the trans-siberian orchestra. Location was nice but for the price it should be.I will never stay at a Ritz-Carlton again.

This property has gone downhill significantly. It used to be full of people, great staff. No more. We had a 15 person dinner party there on Jan 31st, spend a few thousand dollars, and on what should have been a busy Thursday night;- The bar was empty- Music in the lobby not broken and not working- The fireplace was off/not working- The restaurant had only two tables seated- Furniture was tatteredThen when we went to pickup our cars from the hotel Valet around 11:45PM- the "Loss prevention officer" had the front hotel doors locked and wanted us to wait out in the cold instead of in the lobby. She was rude, unapologetic, yelling at us to get out, and called security to kick us out of the lobby- for just wanting to wait for our cars. "Guests only" she decried. I explained we were guests of the restaurant just a few hours earlier- this enraged her and threatened to call the police! The entire experience was a far cry from what you would expect of a Ritz Carleton. Very disappointing.

Rooms are outdated and dusty. My air conditioner broke forcing me to switch to a even worse room. While making the switch to the new room the hotel staff ‘misplaced’ some of my designer clothing and refused to help me w any kind of refund or reimbursement after never finding them… it made me feel so helpless and frustrated because I never expected this kind of thing to happen at a place like this and I let my guard down. The fact they never found the items is baffling to me and makes me extremely distrusting of the staff. Like where could they have gone??On top of that they charge extra $10+ per day for WiFi and charge even more to use the sauna. At a 5 star luxury hotel that’s already overpriced for what it is.

Customer service needs major improvement. We were there for an anniversary. Every time there was an issue we got pushback, delays, or no service. We expected an extremely high level of service from a 5 star hotel and instead got regular hotel service from concierge.Phone didn't work, had to call the public line every time, nobody picked up on the fact that our phone needed to be fixed even after we told them the phone wasn't working. The floor has stains, we asked for turndown service, nobody ever came. Asked for cleanup, were told that would be no problem, and nobody ever came. Thought we were getting champagne at arrival and it wasn't in the room when we got there, we had to ask for it, which was embarrassing because it was our first time there and we didn't know if it was supposed to be a gift or if we were paying for it. TV was VERY slow, and seemed outdated. No attention to the little things, seemed like run-of-the-mill hotel service. Atmosphere and amenities were slightly above average, not luxury. Room was good.If you want a regular hotel, go for it. Do not set expectations high.Straw that broke the camels back was managent asking US what solution they could offer, rather than being proactive and proposing and acting on a solution for all the issues. That's a huge "no-no" question that shows they were trying to appease, not actually help. Not proactive, simply reactive.
