Terrible experience! Originally had window of our Volvo in for repair when it wouldn’t roll up. It failed within a few months so we took it back. They refused to warranty the work, said we had to find a part for the next repair, then when we did they tried to charge us a premium for bringing in our own part! The technician at the shop was rude and unhelpful. To top it off, they only got the window to roll down 3/4 of the way and quit working at that point, refusing to finish. Never again will we use or recommend them!

Wow!! Thank you Joe and staff. I picked up my ole 87 240 from the shop today. She will be given to my daughter as her 1st car. I've been a Volvo owner for over 30 plus years. This car has been great, but needed a few new touches to make it a more reliable car for my daughter. Also as many of you know the AC these things go out and everyone including me is afraid to tackle this job. My old Volvo guy retired and need to find a person to trust. I had been with him for 15 years since I moved to Cabarrus County. Well when he retired I felt like I was lost, I has taken this to another general shop and just didn't get the feel. Well folks , I'm here to tell you that this place and Joe have the "Feel" . 1st time since I've had the car for almost 20 years the AC is COLD, did you hear that Cold. All new bushing so it's like on a cloud, we had new timing belt and H2O pump. All belts. Just a great job. Fair pricing for the knowledge and special tools to work on these old cars. Remember folks the 240 was ended in 93. So not many folks know the in and outs of them. I plan on taking my 91 wagon down to Joe for a few little things now. It is well worth the hour drive from way out in the Country were we live. Thanks again Joe!!

Horrible work and service here. Brought my car in with the engine light on, and they “fixed” it. Engine light came back on 2 days later, and I brought it back. He said it was now a software upgrade to fix it and it would only cost me $5 but charged me $200+ to again diagnose. I was annoyed that he said $5 and when I got there it was $200+ but just said whatever and paid and asked if he was 100% sure it’s fixed. He said, “yes.” Then, 1 day later the engine light came back on! But that’s not even the worst part. I called and told him, and he just said, “I don’t know” and didn’t even offer to let me bring it in and check it again. But, he seriously offered to look at it again only if I brought it back for my next paid full service. Basically, they don’t stand by their work and don’t know what they’re doing. Steer clear of this place.Services: Electrical repair

The Swedish Connection is one of the best mechanics I've ever used. They were fast, honest, and affordable. I'm so grateful I found this place, and I will definitely take my Volvo back to this location for service. This particular visit, my Volvo convertible needed work done on the interior roof since some of the string parts snapped. They repaired it so fast (in 3 days) and the repair is holding great!

I went to Volvo to have an ordinary service done to my car. They tell me my rear brakes need to be replaced and and the rotors needed to be replaced. I questioned why change the rotors when I still had some mileage on my pads, to my understanding growing up with mechanics that rotors need to be repaired when you don’t replace the pads in time and it starts cutting into the rotors. There were a few people in the room when I was having this discussion with the man trying to take advantage of me. When he left a woman in the room told me to go to the Swedish connection. I bought my car to The Swedish Connection. He replaced my rear pads and I did not need rotors installed. He saved me $500.00. So Volvo was going to charge me for rotors that they were not going to replace and just charge me for them because that’s what they do. I had trouble with my air conditioner about two years ago going down to New York City the air conditioner went out along with the fan. I brought it to Volvo and New York and they told me my compressor froze. Just shut it off and continue on and that’s worry about it. It did work again and I got home keeping it on low because I was afraid to put the air conditioner on high for it to be overheated. Make a long story short just came back from Florida and the same thing happened. I told the gentleman at The Swedish Connection and he knew right away. What was wrong with it he has my car now and I am anxious to get my car back with my air conditioner fixed. (Sorry I forgot his name) he is so honest that he called me up to find out exactly what happened and what to tell the insurance company so that he gets their approval to fix the car I told them just tell them it’s broken and he said to me, I cannot do that, and he taught me a lesson and honesty.

I have a 20+ year old Volvo that is slightly modified. They were able to get my car fixed and found some not so quality fixes a previous shop did. I highly recommend The Swedish Connection.
