“This is the cutest shop. We stopped in our way to Cherokee. I could have bought everything in the store. ?. There are tons of cute things for your garden. We bought a big sign for our yard. This store is a must see.”
“This place had a great layout. They even had a cigar room. There are a lot of cool artifacts with great prices. The lady was super friendly and even told us about other places to visit while on our vacation!”
“Today I had the pleasure of visiting McCanahan’s. This shop is wonderful! There are so many interesting and unique items. I purchased a beautiful handbag for someone special. I’m so excited to give it to her. The proprietors were very welcoming. If you haven’t had a chance to visit this shop, I highly recommend it!”
“Cutest little boutique in town! I’m a local and have come here several times to get last minute gifts! They’ve always been wonderful and had amazing service and even wrapped my gifts for no extra charge!!”
“This little shop was the highlight of our day trip the Cherokee today! Normally we buy a little wedding vase or tchotchke each time we come from another store in town but we explored the "less busy" side of the area and found Village Merchant. Walking in, I spotted the local art by Luzell of area scenes hand painted on saw blades, jugs, rocks, leaves, and even a pair of boots and couldn't get farther into the little store without deciding what to take home! My husband and I probably spent 30 minutes in that corner of the store debating on the piece to purchase.. we ended up taking home a long saw, three smaller circular blades, and I ran back before checking out and grabbed a small glass bottle. The artist's sister (I believe they both own the store?) chatted with us and was super pleasant! We unfortunately did not get her name this time but we are already planning on coming back up to grab a few more pieces for our home!Thank you for the nice chat today and we hope to see you in Blue Ridge, GA, sometime!”
