Lately it seems like this location has been more short staffed than ever but the few employees that are there have been extremely kind, patient and helpful. Kaitlyn and Monique go above and beyond to help out even under their circumstances. However there is sometimes a wait but it is worth it when the employees have a good attitude and are willing to help :)

I just walked into this location crying. But the amazing Kaitlyn and Mack Rogers were just so kind to me. They don’t know me but just decided to be kind to a stranger. Thank you both for having me leave with a smile on my face.

Horrible experience. Spoke with a lady named Kaitlyn/Caitlyn (however she spells it) she was unwilling to help me and then hung up on me. I called back and she did not answer. Poor customer service and poor hiring choice.

Customer service is very friendly but I am giving this location 1 star because I signed up for a checking account on February 21st and told the banker I had a promo code for the $400 promotion. I did all the requirements to receive that bonus and that has been verified by their customer service but they told me that the banker never put the promo code in for the promotion when I opened the account. Called customer service last month and they said they would do an investigation for 30 days and call me but never did. Called them back today and spent 42 minutes on the line just for them to tell me they will look into it for another 25 business days. I will definitely be closing my account and going to one of the many banks in the area if they don’t honor their promotion after the second investigation.

Horrible experience. I’ve been working with banker Michelle, who refuses to call me back and is not addressing my concerns. We’ve had an ongoing issue for multiple months and I am close to escalating it up the chain. Do not go to this branch.

As a local small business in Clayton, we would expect better. As a previous employee of the bank, I know I was lied to and my request ignored. Being now in the financial services industry, I will never recommend my clients affiliate themselves with this branch. We had our suspicions confirmed when we went to their sister location in Garner. My 10 year relationship with the bank meant nothing in the only moment I needed it to make a difference. The Clayton branch and Sr Banker Michele Arango decided to cripple my business and personal finances without even a question. After our debit card was compromised 2 weeks ago you would assume compassion, grace and logic would help resolve any problems to keep our finances available for my family and business but not here. Buyer beware, do not trust Truist.

Every time I go inside this branch, there's usually only one teller on the counter and usually a line that takes a while to move. (I've noticed this even on a Friday.) The issue I have with this is that it seems to be their standard practice. Most transactions I have are simple and quick but there's almost always a customer being currently waited on that seem to have very lengthy business type transactions. Why would you not keep a second line open on the counter for the customers who like to get in and out as fast as possible? Also, my wife and I have been to this branch to request notary services on two occasions and both times, we were told their notary was "at lunch". And both times, we ended up going over to SECU where their notary person was there and available to help us. Seems to me there is an oversight on good branch management going on here, so just a heads-up to anyone thinking on doing business with this branch. I would rate two stars but gave an extra star for the drive-through rep who does a pretty good job.

When this bank was BB&T it was slow, however now that Truist has taken over it’s much worse. Need to run in to make a small deposit? You’d better set aside a minimum of 20 minutes to do so, upwards of an hour if you’re in there on a Friday. Generally only 1 teller for drive-thru and 1 teller inside. Other than that I have no problem with this bank but the wait times are astounding.

This bank isn't very helpful anymore..no one really is able to help and if you need it...they ping pong you around to other branches. When all you need is just the one person.BB&T used to be waaay more through and helpful than this...I've been with BB&T as my first bank and I miss how the foundation for assistance use to be..If you're gonna half help people with banking and THEN hang up on them...that's not a good look.

This Clayton location is by far the best compared to the others in Smithfield and the location on 40/42 Clayton.Jose the manager has always been a great help and friendly. 10/10

Dead Pan Christine , a teller gave me the wrong information about my account resulting in sending me away without making my large deposit. No sorry I can’t help you, nothing. Just stared at me after she stated “the rules”. Not the first complaint I’ve had about obnoxious control freak employees

Having been with suntrust for over 6 years 6 years I have to say that this is the absolute worst bank I have ever now been forced to deal with as having been a client of the previous bank, As a personal and business client I am thoroughly thoroughly dissatisfied with every aspect of the aspect of how those bank now operates and and completely intend to relocate all of my funds to my other institutions institutions including my business account, I would absolutely not recommend this bank to anyone, Although the individuals within this specific branch aranch are kind people who attend to be as helpful as possible clearly the bank itself is now operated with a extreme degree of incompetence.

Terrible customer service. They don’t care and gave me incorrect information about my business account, which resulted in bank fees. I called customer service to request a refund and after almost 45 minutes was told I have to back to the branch to request a refund. The phone rep refused to let me speak with someone above her and when I told her how displeased I have been with the entire experience, she hung up on me.I will be going into the branch to get a refund and will be moving my accounts.

Got switched from Suntrust to Truist and what a horrible horrible experience!! I’ve had to call them several times and each time the wait has been an hour. Once I get on the phone I have to get transferred to other departments only to get put on more hold and more holds. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank all together.
