The store had ribeye steaks on sale for $8.99 per pound. Went in to grab some groceries and a couple of ribeyes. The meat clerk told me I must have misread the sign. NY Strips are on sale for $7.99 per pound. What does everyone else think?

I have no idea how the ratings are this high because after 3 years of living next to this grocery store I’m done. This is the fifth time in a row the produce in my pickup order has been rotten on arrival. To be clear, I don’t just mean it’s shriveled or poor quality although that’s a given here too. I mean my cucumbers were COVERED in white fuzzy mold visible through the packaging. Previously my tomatoes have been growing green mold so I’ve stopped buying them entirely. This time I was also given a cabbage instead of lettuce, which was annoying- I can’t use a cabbage for my recipe! It wasn’t even marked as a substitute (I had filled out my substitutions with a different lettuce, but it doesn’t even matter because they marked the iceberg lettuce as “found.” It wasn’t even a case of a poor substitution.)In addition, when I came to pick up my food this was the second time in a row the phones were completely down so I couldn’t even call to say I was there for pickup. My husband went in to tell them we needed our groceries and they couldn’t find our order even though it was under the correct name; it had been scanned out well before we arrived for some reason.The other frustrating thing is that I selected a 4-5pm pickup window for when I was done with my other errands. They finished it early- fine- and then texted me I had to be there within an hour, by 4:20. I specifically picked the time I did so I would have until 5 to get there, and instead I had to race to get my stuff. This never used to be the case and I have no idea why it is now.As someone who can’t easily do my own shopping due to a disability, it is really infuriating that the entire pickup process is this ridiculous from start to end. At this point I’m driving the extra 20 minutes to go somewhere else, which is a shame considering I would really like to just go to the place 4 minutes from my house.

Working nights remodeling FoodLion stores...Garner, Benson, and Clayton market stores...hopefully, not beening overly annoying to store customers, he heh, ha hah....

I’ve been spending my money here faithfully since moving here a year ago. I’ve always had a great experience every time I come. But tonight I was so embarrassed and treated terribly. My daughter and I came in to grab a couple things for their lunch for school. As we entered we noticed a large crowd of what to be employees crowded near Fresh produce . We didn’t think anything of it so we proceeded to frozen area to grab our few items. We hear loudly on the intercom. Food lion is currently closed , COULD YOU PLEASE LEAVE!!! I was told a sign was on the door stating early close time for remodel or whatever. It’s not always what you say it’s how you say it. I felt like why not say anything as you see us walk in instead of making a condescending public announcement then with the death stares as we walk out. Definitely thinking about driving 5 more miles down street to other location.

This place is terrible. Not enough cashiers, customer line backed up halfway through the store. Employees just standing around doing nothing.

Friendly staff, clean, organized. Self check-out traffic is just wrong. Does not work. Needs new flow.Aside from that I really like the place.

I went shopping for a few things and bought a single serving of oreo cake and red velvet cake but it never made it in my cart. Now I'm home so I tried to call them 8 times but no pick up only hang up. I'm going back tomorrow to see if I can get my slices but now I don't have the receipt cause it got wet and is unreadable. 930pm August 12th 2023. Very nice cashier and bagger. I'm thinking it just one of those things that happens. Tomorrow I'll find out if they really pride themselves on customer service like they say on there recording. I'm a dasher and know all about great customer service. I hope that there on the level that I am.Follow up.Went in today to see if I could get my desserts. I went to customer service counter and waited just a few minutes until one of the managers came over. I explained to her what happened and it was no problem. She said just go get what you has and come back here to bag it. I went and got the same type. Came back and bagged it. As I was walking out, I thanked her and said I'd be seeing her again. Meaning that they hadn't lost me or my husband as a shopper buy only cemented us for the long haul.

Food Lions produce is not as fresh as it use to be, I do enjoy their sales.

Store looks good most of the time people produce looks good meat department don't know what to say about that I asked for some help one day and the man just told me that's not my department if I want anything cut you have to go to Harris teeter or Publix rude people in the meat apartments

Found two dead flies on a package of chicken breast.....Went back to the cooler section and there were multiple dead flies today.Definitely should report this to the health department and I may. They need to clean their coolers apparently.

This is becoming my new go-to store. So far have been impressed with the produce and especially the meats. Staff is great, very helpful.

This store does not hire based on equal opportunities. I applied for produce and more than qualified. Got interviewed by a female Hispanic, and was told I would get a call. 2 days later a younger girl (hispanic) was hired. Then within the same week another Hispanic female got hired. The store could also use a better method of hiring folks. A general manager should be doing the hiring and firing.
