My kids and I love to pop in occasionally to see what kind of "treasure" we can find. Staff, in general, are not the most outgoing, but have been friendly when we make a point to be friendly to them. The store is as organized as you can expect a Goodwill to be and a lot of the fun is in the search.

12/2/2023 1:30 PM Goodwill on 42 location. Approached by management Ms. Monica Perry while shopping peacefully. She was unprofessional and she tried to provoke me several times ruining my shopping experience.. I was told while she was putting out shoes to stand on six squares away from her. She accused me of standing over her. This was ridiculous and pure nonsense! We were standing apart at least 3 feet or so at the time she moved towards me. She coughs in front of me as she stands in front of me trying to intimidate me. I asked her why is she being so aggressive towards me? I’m just shopping. She gets mad coming even more closer to me with her cart demanding me to move. Actually her cart was touching my hand held basket. By this time I saw that she is really getting out of line. I then asked her to move away from me and stop bothering me. She said fine and things didn’t matter to her angrily taking the shoes she placed on the shelf back into her cart. The shoes were not my size . I wasn’t all that interested in them the first place. This never should have happened and should be addressed. If she doesn’t like servicing African Americans she needs to go live off the grid. I will be contacting the district manager. FYI I wear a 6 1/2 shoe size and the shoes are a size 8 and 8 1/2. Thanks to another staff member who happens to be a male I was able to get this photo. I hope not another person has to deal with this ignorance again. Pure microaggression here, manger has no self awareness.

This review in regards to donating and the shop as a buyer. As a donator I knocked the stars down because we have donated here a handful of times in the past year. Each experience has been that the receiving workers don't want to work. One time, my husband and I did ALL the unloading. It was 5 minutes to close and we worked hard all day to get there before close. We made it. We offered to help, but the guy working tried to refuse us altogether, and then stood there while we did all the work.Other experiences include trying to turn us away unless we offer to help unload. I understand they don't tale everything and they don't want junk - we've never brought junk. It's always quality furniture, tools, and clothing/ linens. As a shopper, they have a decent selection. The store is large and gets messy sometimes where it could be straightened up better, like the giant pile of linens. That in particular is very difficult to sift through. At least go try to organize it once a day. It's like they've given up. Just seems to have a lazy staff in general. I'm sorry for saying that to the few who actually work and do their jobs well here.

Rude customer service. Asked to put sold on a large item so I could look around and was told and was told it wasn't there responsibility.

I'm giving it 2 stars due to the cashier. While I do find kid clothing here, with a decent variety. I noticed the customer ahead of me was having a concern with the cashier regarding pricing and I, too experienced the same thing. I had a kids Jersey and the cashier tried to charge me for a Man's shirt price. I explained this was in the kids section and it is a Large and can't even fit me and I am slim. She said they make Slim larges in men. I replied well this is a kids jersey, a jersey for a man size large is universal. She priced it as a kids item, however if she wouldn't have, I wouldn't have purchased it based off the principle. No manager in sight, she mentioned to the customer before me that she was on break (at 4:00pm). No one but her in the entire store. That should never be a thing. There should always be 2 employees in the building at any given time. Anywho, this cashier proceeded to get the last word in, even after I purchased all my items. It made my experience there terrible. I was happy about the deal, can't wait to show my kids but now I will also remember the cashier who has no customer service skills. She was brown-skin with brown hair, older 50s. If management sees this just put a better system in place. You don't need cashiers that will passively argue with customers. That's ridiculous!

This goodwill seems to have more that others I have seen.Well stocked and it was busy. They had a lot of bins. Great selection of books. They had more home decor than some of the others I've visited in the area.Neat and clean store.

Planned to donate 3 brand-new pairs of expensive footwear. They require them to be in boxes. Guess they are going to be trashed, upsetting.

Don't bring your kids here to get toys out of the toy bin, they wouldn't sell my kids the toys infront of the kids..

They play beautiful music in the church. All of the staff are volunteers. They are doing great things for the community.
