Nice selection of vegetables. Very high priced compared to other places. They only give calendars if you spend $100 or more. This is definitely catered to the Chinese market more so than Korean or Japanese. Parking is ample but turning into is a pain. It's a tight turn into the plaza to have to go down a steep hill. At 1000 the parking lot was full of abandoned carts. They have a fresher selection of veggies than super G market but be prepared to spend twice the amount for them.

For a few years, I've avoided Li Ming's for location for one, but also I didn't feel it was too clean at times. I've gone a good amount of times this year and it's not AS bad as years past. Your typical Asian market, and I say Asian because even though it does say international, it's majority Asian items which could be problematic for people looking for other countries' items. Produce, condiments, noodles, rice, ramen, fish/seafood section, frozen foods (ie dumplings, whole meals, ingredients, dinnerware, untensils, pots, pans, woks, cooking devices. They offer a lot of Asian snacks you wouldn't find in a typical grocery store. It used to be really unorganized here but it's gotten better - especially trying to find the exact ingredient and it's misplaced by another patron. Parking is odd, you just have to guess the lines. 3.5 realistically

This review is from the point of view of my wife and I. I'm a white American who lived outside the US for about 13 years and visited/lived in 27 countries. My wife is a Filipina who is part Chinese. In Greensboro, there are two large Asian grocery stores: Li Ming's and Super G. We only go to Super G when we want to buy fresh banana leaves because it's the only place we have found that has them.If you want to find a better selection and much nicer modern facilities and environment, go to Li Ming's. They have a massive selection of items, so, with the exception of fresh banana leaves (what's up with that Li Ming's? ), you will pretty much find what you want. Let me provide a caveat: I am not including Indian foods, I'm talking about East and Southeast Asia.Because a lot of what we get is for making Filipino foods, that's the primary focus of what we look for when shopping there. They have a great selection of longabiza, Halo-Halo mixes, Mama Sita's mixes, Datu Puti, lumpia wrappers, salted eggs, and everything else on your list. They also have a ton of snacks, many of which are new to us, so we always get something different to try. Plus, you can get Marie biscuits, which our granddaughter LOVES.If you go to the far left of the store you will find a lot of kitchen goods as well. There are pots and pans, chopsticks, and other assorted goodies. Just browsing is fun!In short, Li Ming's is a great place to shop. It's well lit, has roomy aisles, ample parking, is rarely crowded, and an inventory that is second to none. Oh, and if you need help finding something, everyone there is super friendly and will take you to whatever you're looking for.

Global Mart is a mostly Asian grocery store. I would say international applies here but a majority are Asian based goods. If you are looking for a supermarket that has spices, fresh seafood, a range of fruit and vegetables that your local grocery does stock you should give Global Mart a try. There are pre-packaged imported foods and frozen items. Such a variety of dumplings. In addition there are housewares in the rear of the store. If you don't want to prepare your intercontinental cuisine they also offer ready-to-serve meals. The inside of the store is old. The building was a TJMaxx many years ago so don't expect anything fancy. The smell can be overwhelming because of the mix of fresh items. Also don't look for any type of customer service. You need to know what you want when enter because if you don't know what you want be prepared to rome the aisles looking for what you need.

As a vegan/vegetarian this is one of my go to stores when I decide to cook for myself. The prices are reasonable for the most part and after having lived in asia for the past 6 years many of the products here remind me of my time there. I have no real complaints about this place.

Produce is almost always old and rotten, have rotten fish sitting out and old freezer food, herbs are also very overpriced

A classic Asian/global market. The food isn't the greatest, but carries the classic packaged snacks. When we when to checkout, the cashier had her mask off, biting her thumb nail- so be careful about germs... in general. She proceeded to touch everything normally. Also, their hand sanitizer is nasty, as in strangely sticky after all the alcohol has dried, and it smells like rotten produce. I'm assuming they added straight aloe vera gel into it, and it rotted, or something. We had to open the windows on the drive back, and the smell didn't completely leave.

Very nice and extensive variety but general non exotic produce was slightly overpriced (changed with different visits). But the items not found or grown in the States was fair priced, so it equals out the end of the day. I was very happy to find a variety of mushrooms and spices to expand my vegan cooking.

The seafood market is really great for Asian families like ours. Not to mention, there are also really good snacks and drinks if you know what to look for. Sometimes, you can tell what is fresh and what isn't, but that just means you have train your eying skills :) It's a market after all and it's common to have to be able to tell the difference between good and bad fish, good and bad meat, or good and bad fruits and vegetables :) One thing I absolutely have to point out are the bathrooms-- They're absolutely... GREAT. Sorry, but you know how bathrooms say a lot about a place. Service is really great too, and my parents always go get the free lunch.

This is what I expect when I think of an Asian supermarket. It's great for Asian ingredients but can seem overwhelming. They usually have live fish swimming in a tank, plus interesting produce and items that you've never seen before. It can seem a little disorganized and service isn't always the friendliest but it is efficient. I can never figure out their dining options; it seems over the years some in-house bakeries and eateries have come and gone. We usually visit a few times a year and load up on ingredients that will last a while. They're good for bulk rice and noodles and even have hard goods like cookware. My minor lament is that they seem to have run off some smaller Asian markets in the Durham and Chapel Hill area. It's nice to have variety and competition.

An amazing asian market in the Durham/Chapel Hill area - wonderfully extensive selection of fresh product, fish and meat. Very high quality and low prices. The prepared food is good and has a large selection as well.

We want to try cooking some of the Asian dishes we've loved at restaurants, and this was the place to get us started. It's big, but not overwhelming. The produce section was amazing, with every kind of mushroom and squash I could think of, and some I didn't even know existed. There were tons of Asian spices and condiments and a lot of conventional ones, too. We even found a whole aisle of dried noodles. The seafood department smelled fishy, but we couldn't smell it throughout the store. Prices on produce were very good; the rest of the prices were comparable to other grocery stores. We liked Li Ming a lot better than another popular Asian grocery, even though this one is a longer drive.

We go here in a regular basis mostly for the fish and the international fruits and veggies. I recommend getting there early on the weekend for the best fish choices... Oh yeah...byou pick your own fish...which we love!! We also go for the nice selection of rice. If you spend at least $100 you get a free lunch from thei little Asian restaurant they have
