Dr. Mark Pankonin phoned at 8:30 the night before my procedure to cancel my colonoscopy appointment, saying his return flight home had been cancelled. Understandably, this can happen.Though I had stayed home for Thanksgiving to ensure I completed the fasting and prep solution in good order for my procedure. And had spent a large time that day in the bathroom clearing out; and was miffed that it was all in vain. And I am not totally accepting that Dr. Pankington had done all he could to get to his responsibility w me (and presumably to other scheduled that day for their colonoscopy). Had other flight options been considered? Why was he flying the night before he had scheduled himself such a major responsibility, when his patients had made good on their responsibility? So, I gave a satisfaction rating accordingly. The colonoscopy is one of the most invasive out patient procedures there is. Being probed up the rectum, when wiped out by the prep, anesthetized, having had to arrange for a driver - causes a lot of patient stress and anxiety. And those patients deserve the utmost care and support. A conscientious practitioner needs to ensure they get it.So, no Dr. Pankonin, I do not accept that "there was nothing (you) could have done" about leaving myself and the other patients mistreated.

Not a very professional operation. I’ve been waiting over a month to see a G.I. doctor on an ASP referral. When I finally went for my visit. There was obviously no effort to prepare for my appointment they claimed they did not have my medical file or information but yet they knew about the current prescriptions I was on. They decided to order lab work that was done less than three days ago without even trying to figure out why they don’t have the file that was sent with my referral. I was charged $270 for them to check my blood pressure and they wouldn’t even schedule a follow up appointment for after they actually look at my file. If this first visit is a indicator of how this practice operates I will definitely be looking for a more Professional practice

Been a patient here for a few years and I know my pediatrician sent over my records to them after I turned 18 due to my lifelong health history and preexisting conditions.Anyway I called mountain medical Friday to see if I could come get my immunization history and they told me yes. I drive out to the office and speak to the older woman at the front desk who immediately runs to the back not knowing what she's supposed to do, I waited a few minutes she comes back tells me they don't have any records of my history (even the shots I've received in their office like the flu shot, etc.) I asked her why they said I could get them if they don't have them, she goes to the back again and comes up and says they have no history of them except my Covid vaccine. At this point I give up and ask for proof of that one and the story changes to "oh we don't have it on an official file just you stating you've had it."How does a doctor have no records on their patients? I went over to Haywood Peds and asked if they could print it off and low and behold they had my entire history from 1994 to 2021! Every single vaccine and I haven't been a patient there since 2016! This office is poorly ran and the employees obviously have no idea what they are doing or they are too lazy to be bothered to actually do their jobs. Either way I'll be looking for another doctor who will actually keep up with their patients.

The most disgusting, heartless, rude, argumentative front desk people youwill EVER encounter. I am not a patient here, but my sister is. I am hercaregiver, she has Huntington's Disease. I make all her appointments forher and drive her to them because she can barely speak and can not drive.I have been taking her here since she was tested positive for HD in 2015(Dr. Vavra...who was PHENOMENAL by the way), but today was the finalstraw. We have NEVER been treated kindly here by the front desk peoplethat work here. Today we were DENIED an appointment! The woman Ispoke to told me that there was a cancellation with my sisters doctor (Dr.Palay who is also PHENOMENAL) the next day at 4, then proceeds to tellme to call elsewhere!!! SERIOUSLY?! This place is an absolute joke. Iread the previous reviews about these nasty front desk people they employ, and all they do is send some prefabricated response to call some numberand complain. These reviews are going back 7 years! They CLEARLY donot care about their patients at all, or they would have done somethingabout this mistreatment years ago, NO ONE deserves to be treated like thisgoing into a medical office in need of help.

Incredibly inefficient. I am an RN working for a provider and I can NEVER get through to speak with anyone regarding patients we share. Customer service is completely non-existent. I have advised all my patients to seek providers elsewhere

I'm very happy with Dr. Ralph and her assistant Anita. They're very attentive and follow-up is great. I couldn't ask for a better healthcare team.

Dr Ralph is a pleasant Dr. but the telephone system is useless. I've called all day and there is not an option to speak with a person, some questions can't be answered with the available choices offered. A simple prescription refill cannot be made because Dr Ralph is not listed when asked to choose your Dr.And please don't ask me to call the Patient Experience Office because I did and got a recording that no one was available to take the call!!

This place does even deserve one star, no one will answer the phone, they are rude when you are fortunate enough to get a voice instead of constant ringing or voice mail. Won't continue to try

My Dr (Dr lafata) is Fantastic that's his stars, the office staff is a disaster and incompetent. I don't feel secure at all if I need to contact my physician I called 3 times and never got a call back, thus has happened too many times to count. The turnover in staffing may be the problem. May I suggest to hire more helpful staff with half a brain, thanks

I give this office 0 stars!!! I called a month ago to get assigned as a new patient. Was assigned a doctor and given an appointment. Called off work for my first appointment and was told that they made a mistake with the schedule and changed my doctor and appointment day and time. My 2nd appointment was scheduled for this morning at 8:00am and was told to arrive at 7:30am. I arrived at 7:30am as told and the receptionist tells me your appointment is at 8:00am. I say yes but the voicemail clearly says to arrive 30 minutes early if you're a new patient. Ok get checked in and wait till 8:05 to get called back. At 8:22am I'm told that the doctor my appointment is with is not even there yet! DO NOT RECOMMEND! If the doctor is to incompetent to even arrive to work on time, how much care could he be giving his patients??????

Made an appointment for my husband on 2/25, but he was too ill to keep the appointment. I called several times to try and cancel the appointment, but the phone rang off the hook. He ended up going to the hospital by ambulance the next day. Yesterday we received a letter saying we did not keep our last scheduled office visit and that we need to make every attempt to cancel or reschedule when we have an appointment. I have already tried to call them twice today to tell them what happened, and the phone rang off the hook again! A letter should not be mailed if you're not going to answer your phone!

Dr. Ghausy is the absolute best! He takes time to hear what you have to say. Explains things where you can understand it and he truly care about his patients! I would highly recommend him!
