Dropped my suv off at night in their yard to be looked at in the morning and some low lifes cut my catalytic converter off. I hope they were drug addicts and over dosed.

Great place. Have had transmission on my Ford Transit 350xlt replaced on a tight timeline. Have had several other large and small jobs done on my family’s vehicles and always comes through. Wayne and Donna are great to work with.

OUR FAMILY STORY: Travel to N. Carolina on family vaca with a fam of 5. About 20mins outside of Charlotte, engine temps spike. I park van in safe place and call insurance. We have our van towed to 5-star trans as they have great reviews. Donna w/5-star Trans greets us and notices we are stressed (kids and all). She bumps us to front of line. Gets us a full diagnosis within 1.5 hrs. She gets it in the bay right away and had her mechanic (Jason [great guy by the way]) work on it from open til close (even stayed past closing to get us on the road toward home). The care for fellow humankind was almost not from this world. Almost had to pinch myself to believe how nice 5-Star Transmission treated us. They got our van fixed same day and got us home (5.5 hour drive) safely. 5-Star Transmission is second to none!Service: Transmission

May 2021 my transmission was replaced here, only to have issues and bring it back the very next day for them to fix more because they didn’t check everything.Fast forward to July 2022 transmission issues again. They were very busy and had to set an appointment for a month out, August 25th. 2022. The night before my appointment the manager calls me informing me that they will not be able to fulfill the appointment because their technician was in a bad wreck. I said I understood and to please call me ASAP when they can get me in. An entire month went by before I ended up calling them again because they hadn’t called me. Finally at the beginning of October 2022 I was finally able to get my jeep in their shop. My check engine light was on, ABS light, and traction light. Five Stars Transmissions had my Jeep the entire month of October, and then called me on November 17th asking me what issues I was having with my jeep.. after I had given a very accurate description when I brought in my jeep. At this point it didn’t even seem like they had touched my jeep. I explained what I could to the best of my ability without having drove it myself in almost 2 months. Then on December 1st, having no heard back from the shop since November 17th I called to check on the status of my jeep twice without a return call, and of course now they have changed their hours and are closed for 3 day weekends every week now for their new hours… so I didn’t hear back until the following Monday the 5th. They said my jeep was ready to pick up. They claimed 3 men in their shop drove my jeep to test it, and all they billed me for was 30 mins of labor to clean my rear tire sensor. Within 5 mins of driving it I could tell nothing was fixed. They lights all came back on, transmission still having issues shifting…. You name it.Long story short. Never trust this company, they clearly aren’t doing what they should.Services: Transmission repair

I visited this location on multiple occasions and the service is nothing to rave about. firstly the costumer service is horrible. I went half a year with a oil leak and didn't even know. '*****' at the front clamed it was just steam. I reported it 3 times to be exact, she said it was just cold outside and when I told her is was not she proceeded to ask why I had on a coat then. not realizing I had it on for medical reasons. the guys looked into it and what do you know? a oil leak! I didn't even hear about it though her I heard her gossiping to a client and that's how I found out about the leak. she was also gossiping about another client situation. I also mentioned that I was constantly refilling fluid into the car and she claims she has no record of it. now I need work on my radiator. my car was under warranty at the time and they only preformed oil changes and now that it has expired so I will be paying out of pocket for all services, if they had taken me serious when I reported my concerns I could have gotten it taken care of before it got to this point. this company is horrible at preventative maintenance. ***** is costumer service and she is horrible with a nasty entitled attitude

Very nice folks at this shop. Dealt entirely with Jenny and Donna: Total failure of a transmission on a 2008 Ford Taurus X. I had the heavily-advertised CS warranty service (you know who this is!). They sent a c**p used transmission to 5 Star that was worse than my defective one and then argued about who should solve the problem. They wanted 5 Star to resolve it directly with provider Autonation.The car was out of commission and taking up a lift for 5 weeks. In the net, I had CS provide the funds equivalent to a USABLE used transmission, and I picked up the different for a remanufactured transmission with a 3-year warranty. Costly? Yes, but these folks worked very constructively with me to achieve the final resolution. I highly recommend 5 Star for service and value.Service: Transmission

I needed to replace my transmission in my 2014 Ford. The car was diagnosed at a different shop and the price was quite high and I was advised to shop around. I called a few places to request a quote.When I sent my request the shop was closed. Even though they were closed Jenny called back and got the necessary information to get started on a quote.I knew right then I wanted to use this repair shop because I knew they were going to give me great customer service. And they did not disappointFirst off their price was $1,500 cheaper than where I had the car diagnosed.Jenny and Donna are amazing! They are professional, knowledgeable about the service done to your car and what they informed me what I may expect in the days following my transmission replacement. They are relatable and very friendly. They kept me informed throughout the whole time they had my car.This was the best customer service I have received in a long time .
