I am sick so sick and I only have a two day window to get packed loaded or the flu medicine if I have either of those I took my lunch break at a specific time so I could get to the appointment I made first thing this morning at Atrium health Cabarrus urgent care I arrive here on time and the first thing they tell me is they have no Covid test and no flu test yet when I made the appointment I stated that's why I was coming. Nobody bothered to freaking call me to tell me that and now, everywhere has a six hour wait but when I made the appointment first thing this morning, there were plenty of appointments everywhere. Don't ever waste your time going here cause they obviously don't give a crap. They thought I should check in anyway what the hell for so they can take my money for nothing now I'm screwed and I feel like crap and if I don't get seen and tested, I will miss the window for these medicines and I have an autoimmune disease, so it is more urgent for me to get them, I am so angry and so upset. Now I'm gonna have to go back to work with no answers and so sick. My temperature is going up and up. Zero stars if I could.

Nurses don't give a shit, they will push your tests for days so you have to stay and rack up bills. Never believe the scheduled test slot. They will push it every time. They didn't let me eat for 18 hours just to tell me I could eat before my test. That is literal torture and they should be sued. Depending on the nurses skill level will dictate your treatment, they use the most painful areas for ports because they are the easiest. A more experienced nurse with 40 years came by one time and expressed distaste is the areas I was ported. I wouldn't come back here if my life depended on it. Go somewhere else or just die. They just do not care and that is the bottom line. My nurses name was Tonia in room 3488 and she repeatedly hung up on my mom and family members and gave me no information. Can't wait for these fools to try and bill me.

Came by ambulance to the ER on 17 September 2023 with a broken collar bone. I was not admitted to the hospital. I was pulled off the top of our porch, 4 steps high and slammed into the ground. Left side of head, left collar bone, left side of ribs and left hip made contact with the concrete and grass. When I was examined I was given 2 different sets of xrays on my collar bone. NO XRAYS of my ribs or hip. I was sent home with a rx for 6, 5 mg pain pills, take 1 every 8 hours. The pain medication was inadequate. I wailed nonstop for three days and nights until my surgery on 20 September 2023. Because my collar bone wasn't fixed quickly I now have nerve damage to the Brachial Plexus nerves. I now have numbness in my thumb, forefinger and numbness going from my left breast to above the collar bone and down my left arm. I was having intense pain trying to breathe. NO Xrays of my ribs. I decided to go to the VA for a second opinion, received the results and my 3rd, 4th, 5th and sixth ribs were fractured with 2 ribs misaligned. I also have a appointment with Neurology for the nerve damage cause by the hospitals incompetence! The incompetent care I received was atrocious!! This wasn't the first time having a bad experience with this hospital. About 15 years ago I went to the ER twice, intense pain in my belly, couldn't keep nothing down. The second visit to the ER the Dr told me nothing was wrong to go home and eat something! I had a bowel blockage!!! I was told to go back to the ER again by my PC doctor. I refused. The Dr sent a police officer to my home to get me to go back to the ER. I did and ended up having surgery for the bowel blockage. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone, not even a animal! Animals get better pain relief than humans at this hospital.

A hospital in the suburbs of Charlotte is a big disappointment. It starts with the Emergency Department (ED). Be sure to take a seat and be prepared to wait for hours! When you go online and look to see the "wait" times for the ED - know this...the 30 minute wait time is to get your vital signs checked by the tech and a very brief discussion with the nurse. Once that is done...back you go to the waiting area. Hours later (if you haven't left) you may get to see the doctor. I do not know how they can run an WD with 1 MD. It's truly ridiculous and unacceptable. People bleeding, vomiting, babies crying...nothing. No comfort measures. Nothing. There were so many patients waiting they were sitting in wheelchairs. When my son finally made it to a exam room I was further disappointed to see there was zero regard for patient confidentiality. The nurse walked away from her computer with pt data. She was also eating and keeping her personal items with her in patient rooms...really? From what i experienced in the ED I was concerned what was happening elsewhere. Where is the accountability? Is there any? Who is managing the ED? I can say I was thankful that my son was not admitted to the hospital.

Patient care is a low priority. Nurses and aids are rude and tell patient they don't have time to help them. Patient was supposed to have alarm on bed, but nurse did not engage alarm, patient got put of bed and fell on face. Nurse blamed the patient. Personal items were taken and others were broken. Nurses in charge just make excuses for any incidents.

I contracted COVID here on Tuesday night. It was essentially open germ warfare here under inhumane conditions. Nearly every single chair was taken. I counted three prisoners yelling and fighting with police. It looked as if I walked into a post apocalyptic movie scene. A woman would come around and yell out personal information while she checked patients vitals, and left the screen in plain sight for everyone else to see. This was a blatant violation of HIPAA laws. Several people were vomiting and coughing and there was a man with an oxygen tank walking around literally flinging fecal matter and spitting on the ground. No one came around to clean the human secretion and waste that were all around, no one even bothered to spray Lysol. I took my mom here under strict instructions from her primary care physician. Without an iota of exaggeration I can say that this was the worst visit to an emergency room I have ever experienced. We checked in at 7:30P and left at 5:45A. Most people weren't wearing masks, but I had on two. That didn't protect me from the uncompromising filth that my body was subjected too. I have never had COVID before, and this is much worst than I ever anticipated. This seems like a very high price to pay to take my mother to the ER.

We're so sorry this was your experience. We would like to learn more. Please give us a call at (704) 355-8363. We look forward to hearing from you! Please stop sending these automated sorry's' why do you want to hear from me when I have spoken to every one that are in higher positions and after filling a complaint have not hear anything from you about your investigation! My husband volunteered here for years and it's so sad to say now that he has passed away that This hospital that he loved volunteering at failed him and the entire Health Care system!!! where is a live person to show concern for patient care!!! You are not apologetic to what occurred. This Health Care System has no heart, empathy, sympathy, or compassion when caring for someones life! it's only a job to most and if it's not their family or loved ones they do the minimum and care less!! please advocate, ask questions, and check on your loved ones! it's sad that I have to give a star rating to post my review ...I suppose the 1 star are for the 1% that care and o thank you!!'

I had a good experience at this hospital basically because I did my due diligence and found a great orthopedic surgeon to do my total knee replacement who happened to do his surgeries at this hospital . The surgeon did a great job and the hospital stay was fine. It was what happened a year later that made me livid . My surgery took place just when people finally started feeling safe enough to have elective surgery again after the initial Covid scare . Surely all the hospitals were losing money during that time . My insurance negotiated upfront for the surgery with the Northeast --about $34k which is reasonable for that surgery . The insurance company paid them Atrium $34k cash on the barrel in exchange for ALL my surgery expenses . Done deal right ? Wrong . For normal people , yes. For gougers and crooks no. A year later Atrium sent me a $19k bill for the exact same surgery they had already agreed to take $34k in total for . I immediately called Atrium billing and my god --have you ever been gaslighted by an obnoxious brick wall? -- I was that day . Somehow magically to them I owed $19k for something I legally didn't owe . I've never been talked down to --and done nothing wrong on top of it --more in my life . I called my insurance guy who oversaw paying them the year before and he of course was livid but he said he sees these hospitals try these balanced billing scams on unsuspecting people all the time . The difference between me and the others is the others don't fight it / don't have someone like this guy fighting it . He called and told them how illegal balanced billing is in NC and to send me a " paid in full" e-mail and not to try that ever again . What about the dozens of other people that get bills like that and don't fight them? That's exactly what these hospitals are counting on. I and my family have gone to my last Atrium hospital . All hospitals are crooked of course but it's just a matter of what level of American Health Care Hell you want to engage with/ let into your life. There aren't crooks on the street who would brazenly unethically try that kind of stuff . Chris Hedges rightly said that health care is something profiteers should never be allowed to get anywhere close to . If we don't get Medicare4All soon these conglomerates are going to eat us all alive people and then ask for more.

The Emergency Room here needs some serious work. The staff is okay but they are over worked for the most part which makes for lesser than great customer service. I was sent there from Atrium Urgent Care Center with a call Ahead from the doctor. And Transport. Still took 6 hours to get triaged. Then another 5 after to get a room and then another 11/2 to see the doctor. Its just crazy. I could not believe it. I was not happy to say the truth. I started this journey at 11:30 am. At 10:30 pm I was just getting to see a doctor for the first time. For emergency care. Something need's to be done. They need to expand the beds at both facilities the on on Lane street ond church street. The way they are they just can not handle the current balance of population that the county has and it's continuing to grow.

Well, for one they don't listen to the patient therefore that tells you a lot!! You can go on and on about your symptoms but NO ONE really gives a crap. Why are you in the HEALTH industry if you don't care
