Pretty cool place. It’s just not how I remember FYE. The whole store is taken over by anime and they were blasting awful music while I was in there. I know people have different tastes, but wth.

Visited the store this past weekend (9/1/24) and was asked by the cashier if I wanted to join their "completely free rewards program" to save 10% on my purchase. I said sure because why not, seemed like just any program you earn by shopping at that store, which I rarely do since I am not local anymore. Well he gave me a pamphlet and said you could save on over 100 retailers. I went home and looked at the portal and my account, etc. and they had dining and movie rebates, not terrible money back deals. I was just wondering how they could get away with all of this and still make money. So I googled it, and all reddit had was hundreds of people who got scammed by FYE cashiers into joining a "free" program and then getting charged monthly without realizing. I don't think it is a bad program, the online deals are okay if you use them but it seems to me that they want you to think it is a free rewards program that saves you 10% by signing up and then they hope you don't notice for awhile. I cancelled my account and will be watching for suspicious charges but this is an absolutely scummy business.

Pretty pricey. Has some cute stuff but the loungefly selection was extremely overpriced. I saw the same bags they are currently carrying for half or less for the price they have them. I have shopped at this place many times but they seemed to have started putting profit over customers.

Cool pop culture goodness! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Still have a large selection of physical media including tons of vinyl. Highly recommend

i went in to this store in october of 2023 and purchased a t-shirt. the employee asked if i wanted to sign up for their “completely free” rewards program, and i agreed. next thing i know, i have a reoccurring $14.99 charge on my card. the magazines they insist on being “free” also will run you multiple $11.99 monthly charges. i called the customer service number just to be put on the phone with a very incompetent person who insisted on just lowering my monthly price, and questioned why i wanted to cancel my subscription. after she talked for 4 minutes straight about all of the “benefits” i would receive, she proceeded to say about 8 numbers as fast as she could and told me i had to enter those numbers in order to confirm the cancellation. when i asked her to repeat the numbers, she acted like she didn’t know what i was talking about. when you try to cancel all 3 of your magazine subscriptions, you have to go to ANOTHER website, and create an account. this is terrible customer service all together. this store is literally just a big scam and nothing but fraudulent activity. if i could give this no stars, i would.i do not mean to sound like a karen, however this is not okay to scam your customers.
