Reserved a cargo van online days in advance. Charged $400 online. Got a confirmation that the van was “available for pickup when you are” on the morning of the pickup. Drive to the location for pickup. Immediately told that all vans are “blocked” and are only available for Amazon deliveries. Absolutely no reasonable effort made or explanation given as to why our reservation was confirmed and listed as ready for pickup. No other options other than to drive an additional 1.5 hours out of our way to a different location. Do NOT book anything through Hertz!

I started my with Expedia. Realized I made a mistake on the date, so called the store I was supposed to go to(Concord location) he said he couldn't fix it over but to come on in as he had plenty of cars. I get there he takes my confirmation number and a few minutes later we were in a car and that everything was taken care of. What I didn't realize till after rental and final bill settled on account that he indeed DID NOT FIX IT but instead charged for a second car that was $20 dollars more a day than the one I booked. Hertz said they were going to look into it but haven't heard anything in over a week. 3-5 business days yeah right.
Update: never heard back from Hertz and ended up being out close to $300. Will never rent from Hertz or Expedia again lesson learned

So many complaints! We booked online via our app, and while the app specifically said this was the airport location BEWARE you are 15 minutes away from the airport! Concord airport has several other rental companies but not Hertz! We had to UBER and apparently this is the great scam since it cost $50 for a 15 minute ride from the airport to Hertz. Once there, the place is run down and dirty, the staff is very nonchalant and relaxed and the car was dirty! The outside of it looked like it drove through the saharan dust and we were told we can take it through a drive through since they don't wash it. It smelled like whoever had it before smoked in it, and the change oil light was on the second we started it. Hertz will reimburse the ride share cost but needless to say it was a crappy lesson learned.

I haven't even gotten a vehicle yet and they are getting a bad review. The insurance side outside of this location was great. I called first thing this morning to get something to use for a business I work for so I need a truck or cargo van with no seats.
They only had mini vans and electric box trucks. I would of used the box truck had it been fuel but I can't use my company gas card on charging stations.
They said they would have me a truck from Gastonia in 2 hours and now that I'm calling 4 hours later they answered put me on hold. Waited 15 minutes s on hold and the call ended. Called back a few times with no answer. I would be fired in a heart beat in my company doing such a thing.

Made a reservation and showed up early to pick up the vehicle before close. NO ONE at the location, additional people waiting at the door. Some poor woman was dropped off at the location thinking she was going to be able pick up her vehicle. This was an extremely poor showing of how y’all conduct business.

These people charge me and the insurance for a rental. They scamming and couldn't explain the charge. I think they put the money on they broke coworker card. Stay away. The employees look really young too?????????????????

Made a reservation, called them ahead of time to pick me up since they are a HLE store. I was told they would send someone. Store closed and they sent nobody. I was left stranded and Hertz Customer Service could not do anything since the store had closed. The manager was not on duty that day but I will be discussing with him about this situation.

John (Manager) Hertz Concord saved the day!!!!
I reserved a vehicle online for Hertz N Tryon location on June 15 for pickup on July 23. I come at 9am to pick up vehicle and was told no car is available and that I would have to wait for a car to be returned or go to another location. Without assistance from HERTZ N Tryon to resolve issue I called Hertz Concord and explained situation. John (Manger) Hertz Concord immediately saw my reservation and told me that he has a car ready for me to pick up right now. Thank you John for de-escalating an issue that could have been prevented.

I talked to Nate to make my reservation. When we arrived to pick up our rental,Nate was expecting us and had 3 choices of vehicles to see what worked best for us. He had us in and out in a short period of time. They were cheaper than Enterprise for the same vehicle. I will definitely deal with Nate again and recommend them to others who need to rent a vehicle.

Went to pick up my rental car today and dealt with I believe his name was John (the manager). When I first walked in he was on a call finishing up but didn’t acknowledge me. But he finished in about a minute so no biggie.
But then when he went to handle my reservation he was so attentive and kind and I realized that he just used situational judgement in that case but he definitely understood the customer service assignment.
I accidentally booked and electric car and he made the change without it feeling like an inconvenience and heard my concerns.
Even shared some cool details about the area. Please to eat.places to take kids. Etc.
Definitely a great experience.

Made a reservation this morning and it said to come pick it up at 6pm today and everything was set and when I got here was told everything was sold out.Terrible way to run a business and now I'm screwed.Never use Hertz it is not worth it
