Made a return in store on 11/12 and the employee submitted it as an exchange. I still have not received that refund on my card after talking to a handful of ppl. It is now 12/03 and now they are saying there is no record of all our conversations. All this because employee #707120 doesn’t know how to do her job!!!!!! She should not be working there, she was very rude when helping me out as well. So clueless.

So rude. My mom went to exchange the size for her shoes because they didn't fit. She had the receipt and it hasn't even been a month. She said the man looked at them and laughed and didn't let her exchange them. Keep in mind they DIDNT FIT so she couldn't have worn them. So, they didn't let her exchange them and my mom doesn't speak English very well so she didn't ask why she couldn't, but she came home and told me. I decided to call and ask why she couldn't exchange the size because I found it very odd that we have the receipt, the shoes weren't on sale and hadn't been worn. The girl I spoke with put me on hold and i guess spoke to whoever told my mom that and said that they were worn and that's why they didn't exchange. First of all, in the case that they were worn, you don't laugh in a customers face about it. It's rude and unprofessional. I took a look at the shoes and they don't even look worn.. because she DIDNT wear them because they DONT fit. Very bad service and definitely won't be shopping at this location again.

We had a terrible experience with a return/ exchange. We had to exchange some vans and so we did but about 15 mins after we made the size exchange we saw a better deal on the same shoe at the Vans store. We proceed to take back our vans from Journeys and an employee and the manager both stated that it was Journeys policy that they couldn't return our money because the shoes had just been exchanged and all they could do is another exchange. I pushed them on the policy and asked where that was written and the employee stated that if they had every policy written down they would have a book. I checked on their corporate website and spoke to customer service and that isn't their policy. As long as I have a receipt and the merchandise hasn't been worn, I can return the product for a full refund. We confront the store manager because customer service couldn't reach them and he changed his story to say that we had to have the original receipt and that it's up to the descretion of the manager for policy. He must take me for an idiot because there's no corporate that will allow their store managers to create policy that trumps corporate policy...he just didn't want to take the hit for the charge back. It was going to mess with his goal and bottom line. I asked for the region manager's name but he said that policy doesn't allow for the name of the region manager to be given out. That's bull! This store lacks in customer service and the manager out right lied. He thought that I was some misguided customer that wouldn't check behind him on policy. Well not this one. Boo to Journeys in Concord Mills!
