Had a great experience taking the concealed carry course. Knowledgeable, friendly, and patient instructors guided us through the basics of proper handling, storage and operating a handgun, as well as legal basics. Range time was fun and practical. Highly recommend.

Four of us went together. My two daughters and son-n-law. We all had a great experience… I have shot guns for years (hillbilly style) and didn’t understand some basics about shooting and laws. Practical Arms was a excellent class.

July 16, 2022Great class and experience! Instructor Mark and Denise were really good and made the 8 hr classroom portion go by relatively quickly while giving you all the pertinent info you'll need to move forward on receiving your CCW. Shooting test was at Eagle Gun and Pawn. And with the Groupon rate it's a real winner! Highly recommended! A++

Mark and his team are amazing! I walked away from my class feeling very informed! The carry/conceal class is A1, Mark provided a holistic curriculum that give great detail about several imperative topics such as NC gun laws, gun safety, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling your handgun, etc. I know the exact next steps to take to ensure I’m a responsible gun owner. I would highly recommend Practical Arms because of the knowledge and content, also because I had a great time as well, fun and friendly time spent.

The class was so informative. Mark made it easy to learn the rules and basics of how to use a handgun. He answered whatever questions you had, and made it his duty to make sure that we were all comfortable with handguns. Would definitely recommend!

Took our class yesterday with Mark as our instructor. I must say we were very pleased with with everything. We learned so much and the fact that Mark was so knowledgeable and willing to go above & beyond to make sure we were comfortable helped so much more. He took his time with each of us and made a long day interesting, and it actually went pretty quick. We learned a lot of information in one day but the fact that he is willing to be a resource for us to answer any questions going forward makes us feel even more happier about our choice. Thanks Mark!

My husband and I just took this course and it was well worth it! We learned a lot and our instructor, Chad, was a great teacher. Very patient and willing to answer any and all questions. Throughout the whole class he made sure we understood everything before moving on to the next subject. He made it easy to learn and follow along. During the gun range portion I was quite nervous but he put me at ease and made sure that I took my time, knew exactly how to position myself, hold the gun, and shoot. Highly recommend and we hope to take more courses through them such as their tactical course. Thanks, Chad!

I could not renew my CCH permit, because I was under the 60 day rule, so I had to start from scratch. My wife found Practical Arms on Groupon, which had the best deal for the 8 Hour course, and I'm glad I attended it! Mark is the real deal, he knows his stuff an answered question thrown at him. All the info that I was taught by a local range that do concealed carry courses, was false. I carried with uncertainty for 5yrs until I met Mark, now I'm comfortable moving forward. Anybody that's interested in getting a CCH, should have some knowledge and time using a firearm, I watched him and his staff, help people that never fired or handled a gun before; calmly going over the basics, showed them what they needed to know, and most on the second try, passed the range portion of the class. The course is held at Bass Pro, at Concord Mills, the range portion is done outdoors at a different location, that's a few minutes away. Thank you Mark! I'll be scheduling some tactical courses with you in the future..

Very good training - the instructor was well credentialed, patient, kind, and genuinely cared about all the students. He had the material down cold, the range procedures practiced, and more. He even offered to help us choose a handgun, showed us how to clean them, and talked about holsters, etc.I already signed up for another class with this group, and would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Took the CCH course. Instructor Mark Williams did a great job in explaining everything both on the handling of a handgun and the legality of it all. Answered everyone's questions as well. What could have been a long and dry speech about legal rights and ramifications he made interesting and informative that made you want to pay attention rather than nod off. The "range" was extremely simple but it serves its purpose so why embellish it any more than needed? Will look to take the intermediate course in the future.
