Our son has been at Primrose for 2 years and to say it is a great school is an understatement. The teachers, support staff, directors, and families are all incredible. They take the time to consider how each decision impacts children’s unique needs. Our son has flourished socially and academically. He has become confident in ways we are certain wouldn’t have been possible without the thoughtfulness and care of his Primrose team. He’s built a solid foundation of skills and I have no doubt he will be ready for Kindergarten in August! We are thankful for such an incredible place for my kiddos to learn and grow.

Very pleased with the curriculum, the facility, the safety measures, as well as each of the teachers that both my children have had over the course of a year and how nice, friendly and warm all of the staff is in general once you enter the building. I feel my kids are getting a great experience. Highly recommend this facility.

Do NOT send your child here if they have any level of special needs or behavioral concerns. Staff is dismissive and uncaring. With the exception of a few teachers (who are grossly underpaid for their level of education and expertise). This Primrose does not hold itself to the high quality and professional standards of any other Primrose we have been associated with. My child has ADHD and he repeatedly told me during his 6 months in attendance that everyone hates him, both students and staff. They continuously pushed for him to be on more medication than his doctor deemed appropriate and demanded we pick him up by 3pm, despite us paying full tuition to have him cared for until 6. After one “late” pick up (4pm), they messaged at 6pm on a Monday to tell me he was not welcome back. On this day, he was picked up while playing quietly and we were told he had a good day. Please send your child anywhere else unless you are comfortable with money driven, uncaring staff raising your child during the day.

We moved our child here from another local daycare that was very disappointing to say the least. We LOVE Primrose, and our child loves attending there. The teachers and staff are loving and caring, patient and kind. They really care about their students and communicate often and well about what's going on with our child. He has learned so much since starting there, and the learning does not end with foundational early academic concepts. He is learning how to be a kind, supportive, encouraging child and how to contribute to a larger community. We couldn't be happier.

We moved to Primrose from another local daycare facility last fall and could not be happier. The lesson plans and curriculum are amazing and our kids are learning so much. My 3 year old in particular is just thriving. He loves school and his teachers and has so much to tell us about what he does daily. It's a warm, welcoming environment and the teachers are first class. Someone else posted about the COVID closing including a sudden closing on a Friday morning. We are part of that class that closed. I want to point out what extreme circumstances we are all in and childcare facilities have an extra hard job having to Navigate this and keep kids and teachers safe and keep paying the wonderful staff. Personally I think Primrose communication around COVID has been beyond excellent. They are mandated to close in specific situations and always communicate thoroughly, quickly and frequently. I want my kids' school to thrive so yes I want to support them financially. And for that reviewer who said 'where's the proof' - that is called HIPPA or patient privacy. You don't get to see other peoples' medical records. I certainly don't think a preschool is going to lie about that. If you're that worried, pull your kid out. Primrose is WONDERFUL. I'm so grateful to the staff who love my kids for all they do and all they endure. It's a fantastic daycare and we never want to go anywhere else.

My family has been SO happy with Primrose at Afton Village! Although my son has only been at Primrose for a short time, everyone feels like family. The teachers, directors and everyone I have interacted with at Primrose have been amazing. During COVID-19, they meet me at the door for drop off/pick up, but have never made me feel rushed. My son’s teachers do a great job at sending updates and pics throughout the day. They also keep him on schedule. They do special “happy grams” and everything feels super personal. The curriculum is amazing; I can’t believe how much he is learning as an infant!

Update: 4 days are our email the owner finally emailed and dismissively acknowledged the issue… I have documented all the communications we will be reporting this to the NC DHSS out of concerns for other kids in this center…When i pick my 5 year old son today , another kid was pinning him down and hitting him both the substitute teachers were looking at their phones/ipad, when i raised it with the director Candice she found it funny...The owner was not present and she would refuse to provide the owner's number. We won't be sending our son there and worry about the safety of the other little kids who are there with untrained substitute teachers...

I cannot say enough good things about Primrose at Afton Village. Our 2 daughters LOVE it here. They are excited to go to school every day, and have truly learned so much. The teachers are all loving, caring, and genuinely invested in helping each child develop and prepare for the next phase. Thank you, Primrose! We are so thankful for all that you do and are very lucky to have found you.

Primrose goes above and beyond. Each Primrose franchise is designed to make life on parents easier. They have a curriculum that is out of this world and teachers who guide and support each child on their own journey of accomplishments. This particular school, however, is a school who cares completely for each and every child and the minute you walk through the door you know it's where you belong. Afton Village stands apart from other Primroses because they attempt and almost always succeed in making the child care experience easy and dependable.

Very Disappointed that the school keeps changing teachers. Seems like just when my child would get use to his teachers they would up and move them to other class rooms. Now come to school and found out my child's teacher was let go. This is ridiculous, this teacher was awesome, and she was always there before her shift to start working. Ever time I had to leave my child there they were at peace, and this is the 2nd time he has a new teacher. All I can say is Primrose lost a wonderful teacher when they let Ms Shoe go. I will miss you dearly and my child will miss you just as much.!!! We love you!! Ms. Shoe. I'm Sure when the other parents find out, they will not be too happy either. Seriously Primrose needs to open their eyes and look at all the good things these teachers are doing. And STOP let the teachers go that have been here forever, and our kids love!!!

We love this school! The staff and teachers are amazing and the curriculum is superb. Our child is way ahead of where she would have been both academically and socially because of Primrose.
