Seems like they take in donations and keep the funds to upgrade the actual building cause I’ve had multiple ppl tell me they have never gotten financial assistance from them

There are unspeakable things that go on in this place and people give money to this Tucker house that's the very man that caused me to lose my home in Albemarle North Carolina he is now dead 7 months after he had me removed from my home God said let Vengeance be his and it was he is now Dead Forever I am not the only person this man has taken a home away from Robert Tucker who owns Shoe Show was a philanthropist but he was.an evil man with millions of dollars he could have done better but he didn't he didn't care and neither does his family I wouldn't give a damn dime to this company but you are helping homeless people that are there and that's a sad fact that they're sent out into the cold during the day and all kinds of weather and no one cares and they have hardly any money or none at all. most of them are living on a disability check or retirement and have health issues and a lot of them don't even own a vehicle and they go into the elements every day rain cold hot temperatures and they have to deal with it some go to the library in Concord some go to a tent to live outside because they'll get kicked out for the tiniest little thing and there's always Discord and not a single adult steps in to stop it immediately where are the adults in this situation when you've got adults that really don't care about their job and there are some that are retiring and talk back to you as if you are trashit's a private organization funded by churches the staff make the homeless work for free cleaning this company is owned by mimillionars What is going on here these people are wrong doing homeless like this God isn't happy at all

The center has a Monday - Friday soup kitchen beginning at 11:30 am until 12:30. The staff are very nice and helpful. The only issue is the drink offerings are very small/ scarce, which a homeless person walking long distances to eat here may be met with dehydration. The shelter allows entry beginning at 5pm. Those staying inside have a strict curfew beginning at 7 pm, and 8pm for those who have a job. Until the newly built facility is opened, there are only 7 available womens beds and 14 available for men. Those residing are awakened daily at 5:45 am and must complete a chore daily before leaving. Everyone is out of the building by 7am, and cannot return until 5pm. Rules are strictly enforced and a breathalyzer is mandatory upon entry. If breathalyzer is failed a person will not be allowed re-entry until 6 months from that date.

It is really sad that such a beautiful job that the Salvation Army does is overshadowed by some people who work there, specifically, the person who answers the phone, who with a racist and extremely rude attitude hung up the call on me twice just for ask him if he spoke in Spanish
