Inconsiderate group. Took my cat there on Saturday so they charged us for an emergency visit. Sent us home with a collect your own urin sample because they were unable to get one therefore didn’t send us home with anything to make him more calm/ comfortable, nothing… he made it through the weekend and went to our normal vet where they don’t charge you and arm and a leg just to talk to you. The Dr explaining what could be wrong with moose was trying to be courteous and we would have had to pay another almost 200 or more for them to treat him any further and she was sure to let me know if we didn’t it could turn into a life threatening few thousand dollar emergency, she was also sure to tell me she didn’t make us pre pay for the urin kit they sent home. I called in to speak to the manager to see if we could get just some of the money refunded because $155 for zero treatment is unfair. He kept telling me it was for the Doctors time, understandable but my god they couldn’t refund the difference and call it a regular visit which is still expensive at about $85. Go to Stand For Animals, or anywhere else for that matter. I understand they need to make their money and it was considered an emergency but they could also be reasonable.

I moved to NC after living my entire 25 years in AZ. The only hard part of my move was leaving my long time groomer of my two pups and their vet. I had worked for a rescue for years. So to say my vet & I were close was an understatement. Transferring to north meck I knew I had found their vet clinic the second I stepped in their beautiful welcoming facility. To say I was impressed coming from a small mom/pop vet back home was an understatement. But my review today comes from the love & care I received today after having to put my first pup to sleep after 15 years with him. He wa the most incredible pup and deserved the most dignified passing. Dr blackard helped me work through options & when they failed she was the most compassionate soul walking me through end of life care & giving me clarity on this decision. Unfortunately , she wasn't in today to be the one to help me say goodbye to cowboy. But Dr Renehan was. To say she treated my dog as one of her own is also and understatement. The way she spoke to me , my mom , and my pup walking us though everything and being as sensitive & loving as possible as if cowboy was her own changed my life. I didn't want cowboy to walk into the clinic as he hates being at the vet. They allowed me to do a beautiful peaceful passing out back on their grounds on a picnic table. He never was afraid. I believe in my heart that these two drs do what they do to give dog parents and their pets the most love possible during their hardest moments. Thank you for changing my life today. I can sleep tonight knowing cowboy left this world the way he lived it- peaceful , loving , and dignified.

My dog, Gizmo, has been going here since he was a puppy. Gizmo is reactive and anxious dog and North Meck is so patient and understanding of him. Dr. Spickler has been nothing short of amazing. Gizmo had an upper respiratory infection that he could not fully recover from for a little over a year. Dr. Spickler went above and beyond to figure out how to cure this mystery virus that was not responding to antibotics. She truly cares about her patients.

We love these veterinarians but our 13 year old Border Collie was mis-diagnosed by one doctor who is retiring. Hence after nearly 4 months of unnecessary treatment the diagnosis was changed by another of the team. I firmly believe that if said doctor didn't mis-diagnosed our dog, he would still be alive today. Having to put our beloved, dog down to me was not warranted. The pain, sorrow, agony and the inability to control our loss has pretty much destroyed us .

During what turned out to be one of the hardest days of my life, the team at North Meck Animal Hospital was nothing short of amazing in helping my family navigate such a painful experience. Thank you so much Dr.Shauna for your peaceful and graceful demeanor. You have earned a life long customer.

We have used NMAH for 5 years and always found them to be efficient, caring, and reasonably priced. We recently made the difficult decision to euthanize our elderly golden retriever. Dr. Jones and the entire staff were very compassionate and caring through the entire process. We know our golden boy is enjoying the rainbow bridge and is free of pain now.

I can’t say enough good things. I’ve taken my cat here twice for her yearly checkups. I was referred by a friend who’s been taking her animals here for years. I’ve been seen by multiple providers, and each time they have treated my cat Luna with the utmost care and compassion. Luna is extremely anxious and shy around strangers, and they couldn’t have been more patient with her. The vet’s assistant even gave her chin rubs to sooth her when she was getting her vaccines. Little things like that don’t go unnoticed by us pet parents. They cared for her like their own. The facility is clean, and they are thorough without suggesting unnecessary costly treatment. I am moving soon but I will still make the drive here because it’s the best place for Luna.

North Meck Animal Hospital is the GOLD STANDARD for veterinary care. We transferred here after a terrible experience with our vet of three years and it couldn't have been a better decision. So far I have seen 4 of the doctors that practice there and one has been better than the next. They are compassionate and sincere when it comes to the treatment of your pets and don't try to nickel and dime you for medicine or treatments you don't need. They are truly angels all the way from the front desk staff to the nurses and to the doctors. I am so appreciative of their kindness and professionalism and will continue to sing their praises for years to come!

Everyone we've encountered there has been kind, patient, and attentive. We moved from out of state and our dogs both got stress colitis from the trip across the country. They jumped into action and got them feeling better quickly. Two years later, our older dog started rapidly going downhill around 4am. They had us in the hospital as soon as we were able to get there the next morning and did all they could. Unfortunately, it was simply her time, as treatment would have involved uncomfortable, in-hospital hospice care for the same ending. They were compassionate, considerate, and gentle, and helped us give our girl the very best last hours as we said goodbye. We eventually got another dog, an Aussie-Dachshund, and continue to trust them with her and our now-older Dachshund-Chihuahua.

So thankful for North Meck! We have seen several vets within the office, and they are each incredibly patient and thorough. They are extremely accommodating with one of our dogs who is a bit reactive. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my cats, Potato and Genevieve, to Dr. Cuevas for both preventive health services as well as acute health issues for around 6 months. At each visit, Dr. Cuevas, and the rest of the staff in the hospital, have all been extremely kind, compassionate, and attentive. During the visit itself, it is apparent that Dr. Cuevas is extremely knowledgeable regarding both acute and chronic health conditions, considerate of all financial situations, and has impeccable communication skills, which was displayed through her ability to explain difficult concepts related to their health in an easy-to-understand manner. In addition, both of my cats appear extremely comfortable with both her, and her staff, which makes me feel as though they are in excellent hands. This is the best veterinarian, and vet clinic, that I have ever been to, and I would recommend anyone to this hospital!

Absolute worst experience I have ever had at a veterinary office. The doctor by the last name Cuevas should be ashamed of herself for her rude, condescending, and dismissive treatment. Terrible place. Keep your pets away.
